PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a light heavyweight kickboxing rules bout between Ichabod Crane (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Ruud Van Hall (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Van Hall is bobbing his head along to his entrance song: Nico Vega - Beast. Ruud Van Hall acknowledges the crowd's support as he enters the ring.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 5 - 5 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Ichabod Crane!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 5 - 6 - 0, fighting out of New York, Ruud Van Hall!
The judges for this bout are Paulsen Ambrosius, Nard Betker and Paul Aken.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Crane does a little shimmy and throws a leg kick. The leg kick missed by a considerable margin though, making him look a little bit silly for doing the shimmy.
Crane misses with an uppercut. Van Hall saw that one coming.
Crane throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle.

Crane pushes Van Hall up against the ropes in a clinch.
Van Hall managing to block the knees to the body from Crane.

Crane's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does.
Ouch! a nice leg kick from Crane, right into the meat.
Van Hall on the wrong end of a kick to the body.

Crane has taken the fight to the clinch.
Crane pushes off and fires off an elbow that misses, before clinching up again, against the ropes.
Crane misses with a punch to the body.
Van Hall tries to circle away but Crane has him pinned against the ropes.

Van Hall breaks from the clinch.

Crane moves into the clinch.
Crane is looking to score with knees to the body. Maybe he'll change it up and go body then head. Van Hall is defending well for now.

Crane's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does.
Van Hall lands a glancing blow to the side of Crane's head.
Crane turns his hip over beautifully as he lands a nice leg kick.
Crane throws a nice head kick!
Crane lands with a thumping leg kick.
Crane throws a predictable looking body shot
and Van Hall counters with a lovely straight right hand!
Crane fakes a jab and scores with a low kick.
Van Hall will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.
Crane pulls out of a head kick attempt.
Ichabod Crane seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
The fight stays on the outside here - Crane looks like he's thinking about clinching though.
Van Hall blocks a leg kick.
Van Hall looks to land a right hand but Crane moved out of range.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
Van Hall scores with a nice looking left hook and follows it up with an uppercut!

It looks like Ichabod Crane has been cut.
Crane scoring well with a low kick there.
Crane scores with a slapping inside leg kick.
Crane misses with a combination
and Van Hall counters with a left to the body.
No joy there for Crane, who threw a few shots but didn't land.
Crane uses good footwork to get in and out and land a nice right hand before Van Hall has time to react.
Crane tries to close the distance and clinch up against the ropes but Van Hall paws at him with a jab and circles away.
Van Hall scores with a straight right hand, right through his opponent's guard.
Crane misses with a double jab
and Van Hall counters with a stiff right hand.

Crane is rocked!
Crane is looking light on his feet compared to last time was saw him fight.
Crane throws a left and a right that both miss
and Van Hall counters with a straight right, followed by a hook and finally a brutal uppercut! Crane drops to the canvas, flat on his back and unconcious - no need for the referee to start the count as this one is all over! Van Hall struts around like it's just an every day occurrence to knock someone out in such brutal fashion. A dominant finish for Van Hall!
