The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
No luck for Senun with that takedown attempt.
Howe gets in close and instigates a clinch.
Senun successfully pulls guard.
We could do with one of the fighters taking the initiative a bit more on the ground - they're both waiting to capitalize on a mistake.
The referee claps his hands together and tells the fighters to work.
Senun is working actively off his back, looking to secure an arm or perhaps work for a triangle.
Senun escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Howe gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance.
Howe really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape.
This has been an exciting period of action!
Senun has an active guard here but Howe has managed to pass into half guard.

Howe knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Senun on the ground.
Senun has hold of a guillotine but he's not going to be able to crank on it really with only half guard, so it's no trouble for Howe. Oh but Senun has got full guard now! Oh boy! This one could be over very soon! Howe goes limp - he's gone! Senun jumps up and celebrates with the crowd - fantastic submission finish!
