Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Tracey Gamble (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Derek Novoa (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). The key to victory for Tracey Gamble has got to be keeping the fight on the feet.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Novoa closes this distance looking for a takedown but Gamble circles away.
Novoa slaps away a takedown attempt from Gamble, before circling back to the center of the mat.

Gamble shoots in for a takedown from distance. He catches Novoa napping and manages to drive through into side control!
Gamble staying calm.
Novoa is trying to improve his position.
Novoa wants to control but Gamble postures up.
Novoa regains half guard.
Gamble is trying to control. Novoa wants to improve his position but can't escape this time.
Novoa keeping hold of Gamble's head, controlling as best he can.

Novoa moves his hips nicely and gets into full guard.
Gamble trying to control the position from guard on top but Novoa is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.
Gamble is going to have to think about doing something other than just controlling because Novoa is managing to avoid having the position dictated to him.
Gamble really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape.

The referee decides to stand the fighters back up, due to lack of activity on the part of Tracey Gamble.

Novoa drives through with a takedown into Gamble's guard. Let's see what he can do from the top position.

Novoa connects with a couple of short punches.
Novoa is taking a break and basically stalling. The referee will not allow him to do that for long.

Gamble is trying to escape but when you're mounted that's not too easy.
Gamble is breathing heavily.
Novoa breaks from Gamble's wrist control and lands an elbow.

The fighters are starting to perspire pretty heavily.
Novoa with some aggressive grappling here. He's looking for submissions here, rather than waiting for the opportunity to counter.
Gamble is looking to get back to his feet - it's going to be hard from this position.

Novoa takes a little breather and maintains the position. The referee will be looking for him to stay active from such a dominant position though.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.

Novoa stands up from the dominant position, so we're back on the feet.

As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.
Novoa cracks Gamble with a nice body shot.

Novoa is looking to take a break and control but Gamble is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom.
Gamble is trying to escape the position but Novoa is controlling the position.

Gamble taking punishment in the form of punches.
Novoa works a knee to the body and follows up with a nice elbow to the head.
Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.
Novoa tries to stand but Gamble is controlling his head.
Gamble is working hard to escape and get back to his feet. After a battle for position, Novoa asserts his dominance and retains side control.

Gamble is not content to let Novoa control the position.

Novoa working hard here to secure a kimura but he's not really in the right position for it.

Novoa has hold of Gamble's arm. He's looking for a kimura. Gamble seems comfortable defending it but Novoa has shifted his position slighty and is cranking on the arm! Gamble is real pain and he's forced to tap out! Gamble is disgusted with himself for not defending it better but Novoa couldn't care less - he's delighted!
