Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Gustavo Lamb (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Kantemir Gaunov (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Both fighters will be looking to make this an exciting fight for the fans, I'm sure!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Lamb looking to score a takedown here. Gaunov is defending well but Lamb drives through and ends up in Gaunov's guard.
Gaunov looking to sweep using the butterfly guard but Lamb puts pay to that idea as he passes nicely into half guard.
Lamb content to sit in half guard and control for a moment.
Lamb wants to control but Gaunov is keeping him busy.
The referee calls for the fighters to work.
Lamb seems very keen to just sit and control from half guard but Gaunov does not like that idea so much and is remaining active off his back.

Gaunov thows a huge punch but Lamb dodges it nicely.

Gaunov might have to switch it up a bit here because his efforts to control Lamb haven't been going to plan, at least at the current moment in time.

That was a close round but I would say that Gustavo Lamb will probably get the nod.

Lamb slaps away a takedown attempt from Gaunov, before circling back to the center of the mat.
A really sloppy takedown attempt there from Gaunov.
Lamb tries to clinch up against the cage, rushing in to close the distance. Gaunov manages to break the clinch and circles back to the middle of the mat.

Lamb fakes an overhand right and shoots for a takedown. Gaunov sprawls well initially but Lamb persists and gets the takedown into half guard.
Lamb is trying to get back to his feet now but his leg is trapped.

Lamb is thinking about an arm triangle here, looking to tighten it up before moving to side control. Gaunov can see it coming though and defends well with a couple of strikes to the head and some good arm positioning.

We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Gaunov can do anything to dispel that myth.

Lamb manages to land a sweep and now he's in mount on top!

Lamb is going oldschool here, as he tries to force Gaunov to tap using a forearm choke. This isn't 1993 though, so Gaunov shrugs it off.
