Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Sydney Joseph (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Rafal Materla (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Rafal Materla will no doubt be trying to keep this one on the feet, where he has a distinct advantage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 3 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Sydney Joseph!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Rafal Materla!
The judges for this bout are Albert Achterberg, Wagner Zegers and Patrick Alders.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Materla tests Joseph's chin there with a solid looking shot.
Joseph misses with a shot to the body

and Materla counters by clinching up.
Materla utilising his Muay Thai to score with a knee to the body.

Joseph gets a nice trip takedown into half guard.
Materla tries to get to full guard but Joseph has control of the leg.
Neither fighter is being very active at the moment, with Joseph in particular looking to stall.

Materla wants to control but Joseph is keeping busy.

Sydney Joseph has forced the referee to step in and bring the fight back to the feet.
Nice body punch from Materla.
Joseph shoots in for a takedown - he's clinched up with Materla but Materla pushes him off and we're back to square one.
Donk. Materla catches Joseph right on the button with a cross.
Joseph takes a swing at Materla's ribcage but misses.

Materla is struggling to control the position.
Materla continues to stall. The referee tells him to work or he's going to break them up.
Joseph drops down for a takedown but doesn't get it.

The ref breaks the fighters up, due to lack of action by Rafal Materla.

Joseph wants to push off and get back to the center of the mat but Materla has him pressed against the cage.

Rafal Materla showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.

Joseph tries to score a power double leg takedown but Materla sees that one coming and sprawls well. That will dishearten Joseph somewhat.

Materla lands a beauty of a right hand that gets the crowd cheering.

Materla darts in and clinches Joseph up against the cage.

Joseph drops down looking for an ankle pick but Materla pulls his leg out and moves away.
Joseph shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has Materla pinned against the cage. Materla gets the underhooks and manages to circle away.

And that's the end of the fight!
Rafal Materla comfortably won the final round on my scorecard.
I've got Materla winning every round here. Surely the decision will go his way and he'll pick up a well deserved decision victory. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
