Perez kept the crowd waiting but all that was forgotten when his ring entrance music started. The incomparable musical genius that is Spill The Wine - War. This should be a great matchup!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the bantamweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 12 - 3 - 0, fighting out of New York, Billy Perez!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 24 - 23 - 0, fighting out of Hilo, Jack Johnson!
The judges for this bout are Anthony Taglia, Lou da Vinci and Jorge Garcia.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Johnson throws a wild combination but nothing lands.
Perez uses good head movement to avoid the hook from Johnson.

Perez wants to slow Johnson down by chopping away at his legs.
Johnson tries to clinch but Perez is having none of it.

and Perez counters with a good right hand that lands right on the jaw.

Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!

and Perez counters nicely by changing levels and landing a hook to the body.

Perez does a little shimmy and throws a leg kick. The leg kick missed by a considerable margin though, making him look a little bit silly for doing the shimmy.

Perez feints and then dives in with a takedown. That was a long way out but the feint bought him enough time to close the distance and complete the takedown. Now we'll play guard for a bit and see who can get the better of that position.
