Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Victor Cochran (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Silviu Voicu (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Silviu Voicu has the power to score a knockout today if he connects clean with Victor Cochran's chin.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Cochran shoots in for a takedown but Voicu shows good takedown defense.
Cochran throws a head kick that misses

and Voicu counters with a takedown into side control.
We must be close to a standup if these guys don't pick up the pace.
Voicu lands a nice forearm strike.
Cochran is trying to stand back up. He's worked his way up against the cage but Voicu has just dragged him back down to the mat.
Voicu controls the position from side control.

Cochran might be looking to lock onto one of his opponent's long limbs for a submission, whilst we're on the ground.
Voicu is pausing for a moment. What's he doing? It looks like he's clearing his nose. Oh dude! He's shot a load of snot all down Cochran's shoulder. That is not cool.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.

OK we're going to have a standup here. Silviu Voicu hasn't been effective enough on the ground and the referee wants a restart.
Cochran misses with a half-hearted attempt at a head kick.

Voicu moves into the clinch.
Cochran is trying to pull guard but being pressed up against the cage enables Voicu to keep the fight standing.

Voicu has managed to pull guard. Let's see whether he can work an aggressive guard. It will also be interesting to see what tactics Cochran uses from the top position.
Cochran could do with losing a few pounds - he looks very soft around the mid section, to put it politely.

Victor Cochran has forced the referee to step in and bring the fight back to the feet.

Cochran moves in looking to clinch but Voicu pushes him off.
Cochran throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Voicu's waist but Voicu gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Cochran off to one side.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Victor Cochran. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Cochran tries a switch kick but it misses it's target.
Cochran tries to clinch but Voicu is having none of it.

Cochran gets tackled into the cage by Voicu. Voicu maintains the clinch.

Voicu is working for an escape here. He's hooked one of Cochran's legs and he's managed to sneak out and take Cochran's back!
The fighters are starting to perspire pretty heavily.
Voicu is looking to control Cochran but Cochran is wriggling around and keeping busy.
Voicu is trying to stick to Cochran's back but Cochran is turning into Voicu. He's managed to reverse the position - now he's in Voicu's guard. Polite applause from the crowd in appreciation of some nice Jiu Jitsu by Cochran.
Voicu is a painfully thin specimen of a man. You do wonder whether a good body kick would snap him clean in two.

As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.
Voicu is looking to get back to his feet but can't, whilst Cochran is controlling him.
Voicu is pulling down on Cochran's head to control his posture.

Voicu manages to get an easy takedown there - catching Cochran on his heels. He'll look to pass Cochran's guard now, I'm sure.

Voicu decides to stand up and beckons his opponent to follow.

Cochran breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.

Voicu goes for a double leg but Cochran avoids the attempt and the two fighters end up clinched against the cage as Cochran continues to drive forward.

Voicu jumps guard and drags Cochran to the mat. He's obviously going to be looking for submissions off his back.

Cochran not doing a lot at the moment. He'll have to show some more aggression or the fight will get stood up.
The step up in weight doesn't seem to be a problem for Voicu. He's performing admirably here against the bigger man.

The ref stands the fighters back up because Victor Cochran just wasn't active enough.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
If this pace continues, the referee will definitely step in and force a standup.

The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end.

That was a close second round but I would say that Victor Cochran will probably get the nod.
The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action. This is the final round!

Cochran stuffs the takedown attempt from Voicu. Voicu gets slowly back to his feet.

Voicu is just content to waste time from the top position. Cochran takes advantage of the situation and regains full guard.
Voicu takes a big intake of breath there - he's definitely tired.

We've had a lack of effective grappling in the last minute or so, which could well see a referee standup.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Cochran is looking to control Voicu's leg but it's slowly edging free. Can Cochran avoid being mounted?
Voicu is trying to control. Cochran wants to improve his position but can't escape this time.
Voicu controlling the pace.
Voicu wants to take a breather but Cochran is having none of it.

The ref calls for a clean break and stands the fighters back up. Silviu Voicu wasn't active enough on the ground.

Voicu has taken the fight to the clinch.

Cochran ties up his opponent against the cage and manages to drag the fight down to the ground. Cochran no doubt will be looking to work submissions from his guard.

Voicu wants to get up but he can't break Cochran's closed guard. He needs to be careful trying to break the legs open, as he's open to submissions here.

Voicu gets to his feet. Cochran looking to butt scoot but the ref puts an end to that. On your feet son!
Voicu shoots for a takedown but Cochran saw that one coming a mile off and avoided it easily.

Cochran closes the distance, clinches up and gets a nice trip takedown into side control. Very smooth.
Cochran throws an elbow but Voicu slips to the side and avoids it well.

The ground and pound from Cochran seems to be hitting the mat more than his opponent.
You can see the frustration on Voicu's face, being in this tough position on the bottom.
Cochran is looking to take a break and control but Voicu is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom.
