The judges for this bout are Cecil Peabody, Wesley Smith and Alan Glass.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
A punch combination from Delton misses.
Delton is looking to score with low kicks.
Delton doesn't succeed with the takedown
and Roth counters by moving into the clinch.
Roth jumps guard and drags Delton to the mat. He's obviously going to be looking for submissions off his back.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Roth is pulling down on Delton's head to control his posture.
Delton trying to land body shots but he keeps hitting the mat.
Delton would like to get this fight back to the feet but can't get free from the closed guard.

Roth throws a right and a left that Delton avoids nicely.

Roth takes advantage of some sloppy striking from Delton to pass into mount.
Roth is landing with some decent strikes but Delton is trying to advance his position so the referee is letting the fight continue.
Henry Roth overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far.

A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Delton accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand.

Roth got a little sloppy there for a moment and Delton has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, Roth has managed to get both his arms back between Delton's legs - danger averted.
Delton is looking to stand up but Roth isn't so interested in that idea.
Roth sneaks a leg through and gets to half guard. That was like a knife through butter how easily he passed Delton's guard.
Delton wants to control but Roth is keeping busy and won't allow it.

Neither fighter is being very active at the moment, with Roth in particular looking to stall.
Roth seems very keen to just sit and control from half guard but Delton does not like that idea so much and is remaining active off his back.

In the pre-fight buildup videos we saw Delton working his ground and pound in the gym. He isn't landing a great percentage of his ground strikes so far though.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
