Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Bobby Hill (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Phil Laak (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Hill tries to land with a swinging hook to the body but Laak was well out of range. Poor timing from Hill.
Hill definitely looks more muscular than last time we saw him fight.

Laak throws a looping overhand right but Hill ducks down to avoid it.
Laak throws a jab to the body, straight down the pipe. Boom. That sent Hill stumbling backwards but he manages to regain his composure quickly.
Laak will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.

The crowd cheers as Laak lands an impressive looking overhand right. Hill doesn't seem phased though.
Laak fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Hill manages to avoid it.

Laak throws the overhand right but ducks down into a quick takedown attempt. Hill was covering up waiting for the punch and Laak finishes the takedown easily into guard.
Laak is fighting to break Hill's control of his arms but Hill is doing a good job of controlling the position at the moment.
The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action!
Laak not doing a lot at the moment. He'll have to show some more aggression or the fight will get stood up.
