Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Adelard Desormeaux (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Antonio Davis (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Desormeaux comes to the cage accompanied by Ça va venir découragez-vous pas ♫ . Davis has chosen Amazing Grace by The Celtic Woman as his entrance music. Rumors backstage are that the fighters have been paid to keep it standing but we know that would never happen in MMA!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Desormeaux tries to close the distance and clinch up but Davis swats him away and circles back towards the center.
Davis lunges at Desormeaux with a hook that half lands and is half blocked by Desormeaux's hand.

That's a knee to de groin and it's over and out! Davis crumples to the ground after an illegal strike from Desormeaux - the referee stops the clock and Davis gets 5 minutes to recover from that one. "I'm sorry" says Desormeaux. Davis manages to get back to his feet and the fight resumes.
Adelard Desormeaux seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Desormeaux shoots in for a takedown but Davis shows good takedown defense.

Davis is landing a lot of head punches in this opening round! Desormeaux had better start moving his head a bit unless he wants his face to turn into pâté.

Oooooooooooh, not good. A low kick from Desormeaux lands where it shouldn't have, right in the... well, you know what he did? He kicked him in the penis. He's injured, injured bad. The referee sends both fighters to their corners and Davis has 5 minutes to recover. He's OK now though... a thumbs up from Davis and we're back underway with a touch of gloves.
