Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Nich DiM (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Michael Page (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 2 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Nich DiM!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 1 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Michael Page!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Page scores with a takedown into DiM's guard.
Page preventing the sweep.
DiM trying to control the position.
DiM manages to sweep nicely, so he's now on top. Page manages to get himself to full guard.
DiM wants to pass the guard but Page is keeping the position.
DiM pushing down on Page's thigh, trying to pass to half guard. He's managed it... Nice work.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
DiM wants to lay and pray for a moment but Page keeps working.
DiM with a momentary lay and pray from half guard.

DiM is looking to pass the guard... He's managed it - he's now in full mount!

DiM tucks in and makes sure he doesn't lose the dominant position.

DiM is going oldschool here, as he tries to force Page to tap using a forearm choke. This isn't 1993 though, so Page shrugs it off.
Page working to try and regain half guard.

DiM looks like he's working for a submission but he's not found anything just yet.
DiM takes a little breather and maintains the position. The referee will be looking for him to stay active from such a dominant position though.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
Page can't escape the position.
DiM content just to control the position here.
DiM can't quite control the action as he would like just now, as Page is looking to escape.

The ref stands the fighters back up because Nich DiM just wasn't active enough.
Page lands with a slapping head kick.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
DiM walks forward, straight into a front kick from Page.
DiM tries to shoot in for a takedown. He's got hold of a leg but Page swivels and escapes.
Page throws a body kick that digs right into the meat.

Page gets taken down but at least he's managed to land in guard.
DiM stops Page from standing up.
DiM sitting in guard here, content to control.

DiM passes easily into side control. Nice work.
Page can't do much from the bottom here.
Page tries to get back to half guard but can't.
A lull in the action here.
Page is looking to reverse the position.
DiM controls the position from side control.
You can see the frustration on Page's face, being in this tough position on the bottom.

DiM thinks about going for a far side armbar but bails out and retains the dominant position instead.

DiM happy to just control the position for now.
DiM tries to land with some ground and pound but misses.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Page is not content to let DiM control the position.
Page really doesn't want to stay on the ground with DiM. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.
Page tries to buck DiM off but DiM is having none of it.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.
Page is putting a lot of effort into getting back to his feet here.
DiM in side control, just content to control the action for now.

Nich DiM dominated that round.
The fighters' corners scream their final instructions, as the referee calls time. Here we go, back to the action!

Page plants his feet and lands a nice head kick!
Wow, both these guys are really going for it!
Page tries a head kick but it misses.
DiM moves to clinch but Page breaks away
and Page counters with a low kick, right behind DiM 's knee.

Page closes the distance and gets a double leg, slamming DiM to the mat! DiM manages to get full guard.

DiM seems keen to control Page's posture.
DiM looking for a sweep. Not yet DiM, not yet.
DiM keeping moving, preventing Page from controlling successfully.

DiM is working actively from the bottom, looking for submissions. He's escaped his hips to the side and he's going for an armbar! Page has his hands clasped together but DiM extends and breaks Page's desperate grasp, forcing a tap out due to armbar! Nice BJJ displayed there by DiM.
