Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Virgil Little (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Evan Evans (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 3 - 5 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Virgil Little!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Evan Evans!
The judges for this bout are Robert Twigg, Alan Glass and Cecil Peabody.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Evans tries to clinch up against the cage, rushing in to close the distance. Little manages to break the clinch and circles back to the middle of the mat.

Evans manages to get an easy takedown there - catching Little on his heels. He'll look to pass Little's guard now, I'm sure.
The referee wants the fighters to be more active or he's going to reset them on the feet.
Evans stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Little swivels though and keeps the full guard.
Evans trying to control the position from guard on top but Little is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.
Evans missing there with some ground and pound from the guard.

Evans passes easily into side control. Nice work.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Evans misses with a strike but at least he's keeping busy, looking to cause some damage - that will still help him when it comes to the judges scorecards.

Evans is a painfully thin specimen of a man. You do wonder whether a good body kick would snap him clean in two.
Evans has knee on belly and moves into mount.

Little is trying to reverse the position but instead Evans has taken his back - oops!

Evans is persistently looking for the submission but Little is defending it well.

Little wants to control his opponent's hands but Evans gets his hands free.

You know, I was talking to some of our celebrities at ringside tonight and they were split right down the middle on who was going to win this fight.

Evans is working really hard to secure the rear naked choke. Little defends successfully for a significant amount of time. Both fighters are looking very determined.
Evans doesn't have the hooks in and Little manages to turn into his guard.
Evans tries to land a sweep but no joy.

Evans trying to keep a closed guard but Little is proving a slippery customer.
The fighters are starting to perspire pretty heavily.
Evans wants to sweep but no luck.
Little throwing strikes but missing.
Little wants to control from the top but Evans keeps moving.

Little working some ground and pound from guard but it's not doing any damage.

Little postures up.
Evans seems keen to control rather than go for a submission, at least for now.
Evans looking for a sweep. Not yet Evans, not yet.

The referee has ruled that neither fighter is active enough on the ground and has stood them back up.
Nice takedown defense from Evans. No joy for Little on that attempt.
Evans fails with an attempt to clinch.

Evans scores with a nice takedown into half guard. Let's see what he's got on the ground.
Evans is looking to advance position but Little won't allow it.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.
Evans is taking a breather. Little says something to him but it's hard to make out. Perhaps he's telling him to get on with it and actually do something.
Little is looking to control Evans's leg but it's slowly edging free. Can Little avoid being mounted?
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action.

Evans keeps the fight standing with a nice sprawl.
Little is looking to clinch but Evans is avoiding it.
Little fails to land the takedown.
A telegraphed takedown attempt from Little is defended easily by Evans.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Virgil Little. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Little rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but Evans moves out of range and avoids them all easily.
Little keeps the fight standing with a nice sprawl.
Evans shoots in for a takedown but Little shows good takedown defense.

Little tries to clinch there but Evans circles away.
Little tries to close the distance and clinch up against the cage but Evans paws at him with a jab and circles away.
Little throws a nice head kick!
Evans misses with a series of wild punches.
Evans pulls out of a head kick attempt.
Little is looking to take this fight into the clinch.

Evans rushes Little and pushes him back against the cage in a clinch.

Evans lands a shoulder strike that jolts his opponent's head backwards.
Evans fails to pull guard.

Little breaks the clinch.
Evans tries to drive through with a takedown attempt but Little defends well and Evans ends up having to push Little into the cage where they will battle it out in the clinch.
Evans is breathing heavily.
Evans is trying to force a seperation but Little has the dominant position.
Little is working for takedown but Evans is calmly controlling the position for now.

Little ties up his opponent against the cage and manages to drag the fight down to the ground. Little no doubt will be looking to work submissions from his guard.
Little lands a beautiful switch and he's in full mount! That could spell trouble for Evans!
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.
Evans tries to control Little's body but Little pushes him off. Evans squirms to his side and now Little has his back!
Little could do with losing a few pounds - he looks very soft around the mid section, to put it politely.

Evans tries to escape but Little has the hooks in and won't let him break free.
Evans looking very determined here, making life difficult for Little.

Little is working hard for the rear naked choke here.
Evans wants to get back to his feet.
Evan Evans has got the better of the ground game so far.

Little looking for the choke from the back.
Evans staying busy and making it hard for Little to control.
Evans just trying to survive but Little is wriggling into a better position, looking to finish.
Evans might have to switch it up a bit here because his efforts to control Little haven't been going to plan, at least at the current moment in time.
The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end.
Little misses with a punch to the head.

The minute break is over - no more time for sponges and pep talks - back to the action! This is the final round!

Little throws a couple of weedy looking strikes off his back.
Little pulls Evans in close to his closed guard and prevents Evans from doing any damage or advancing position.
Little wants to hit a switch here but Evans passes into full mount! Oh no, disaster for Little there!
Both fighters are breathing heavily.
Little takes a big shot to the head but keeps on trying to improve his position.

That's two minutes gone in the round.

Evans working to secure an arm triangle but it's not happening for him just yet.
Evans trying to control but he's not successful this time.
Little is desperately trying to get back to half guard.
Little might be looking to lock onto one of his opponent's long limbs for a submission, whilst we're on the ground.
Little wants to hold on but Evans pushes him away.
Evans breaks from Little's wrist control and lands an elbow.

That's three minutes gone in the round.

Evans jumps to the side looking to secure the arm triangle…. Ooooh, that looks tight… Little is gargling but he's managed to escape! Nice work there by Little and Evans has given up the dominant position trying to land that submission.
Little can't do much from the bottom here.
Little is not content to let Evans control the position.
Little wants to control but Evans postures up.

That's four minutes gone in the round.
Little tries to slip a leg under to move to half guard but Evans presses down on the leg and jumps into full mount!
Evans connects with a couple of good shots from mount.
Evans unloading with bombs!
Evans looking to control but Little is working nicely, looking to advance position himself.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.
Evans takes his opponent's back. Perhaps a chance to lock up a rear naked choke here.

Evan Evans comfortably won the final round on my scorecard.
I think Evans has won this one but let's see whether the judges agree with me. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
