With a record of 10 - 4 - 0, fighting out of London, Reginald Francis Colon!
And introducing the challenger to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 14 - 6 - 0, fighting out of London, Rajon Rondo!
The judges for this bout are Chris Edwards, Colin Fotheringham and Andrew Berry.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
A head kick misses from Francis Colon.

Rondo looks shocked there as he takes a right hand to the temple.
We've been hearing reports that Francis Colon has been drilling takedowns in recent sessions so let's see if that has an impact on the result of this fight.
Francis Colon bobs and weaves well there to avoid the strikes.

Rondo has been spending a lot of time sparring his boxing in the run up to the fight, trying to sharpen up those hands and look for a knockout.

Rondo is trying to control the position but Francis Colon postures up.

You can see the frustration on Rondo's face, being in this tough position on the bottom.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

Francis Colon swings around for an armbar but Rondo sees it coming a mile off and turns beautifully into Francis Colon's guard.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.
Rondo working some ground and pound from guard but it's not doing any damage.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Francis Colon manages to land a sweep and now he's in mount on top!
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action.

Francis Colon ducks down and throws a hook to the body but Rondo moves away.

Rondo tests Francis Colon's chin there with a solid looking shot.

and Francis Colon counters with a nice shoot takedown that brings the fighters to the ground.

Francis Colon postures up as if he's going to throw some strikes but drops back for an ankle! Rondo is in big trouble! He looks ready to tap! But no, he's escaped and dives on top of Francis Colon, into his guard.
Rondo is intent on slowing down the pace of the fight, simply looking to control.

Reginald Francis Colon overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far.

Rondo is sitting in close to Francis Colon's body. Francis Colon has gone for a guillotine from the bottom. Oh damn, that looks pretty tight! Rondo is panicking - it looks like this one could be all over! Yes, Rondo is tapping! That was a very nice submission by Francis Colon.

Reginald Francis Colon decided to go for the less than humble approach in his post fight interview, telling everyone how he is going to conquer the world. The crowd seemed to like it when really that sort of approach could have gone either way.
