Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Lloyd Barr (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Andrew Todd (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Lloyd Barr has the edge in experience - let's see if he can make that count tonight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 3 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Lloyd Barr!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Andrew Todd!
The judges for this bout are Cecil Peabody, Gwen Towbar and Chris Downing.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Todd misses with a lunging right hand
and Barr connects with a straight left hand counter down the middle.
Todd throws a leg kick that is checked

and Barr moves into the clinch.
Todd looking for a takedown.
Todd can't get the takedown.

Todd lands a takedown into guard.
The referee must be thinking about standing these guys back up.
Todd lands a couple of decent looking shots.
Barr wants to stand but Todd is controlling the position.
Todd trying to control the position from guard on top but Barr is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.
Barr is working from a closed guard but he's struggling to control his opponent.

Barr working for submissions but it's allowed Todd to get to half guard.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
Todd wants to control but Barr is keeping him busy.

Barr has hold of Todd's hands but Todd slips his arm to the side and lands an elbow.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Todd takes advantage of the dominant position to land a couple of big hammer fists.

Todd not throwing his punches with enough precision this time.
Todd wants to control but Barr is keeping him busy.

Todd is pressing down on Barr's thigh, looking to free his foot. Barr is holding on for now.
Todd is looking to stall here but Barr recovers full guard.
Todd missing there with some ground and pound from the guard.

Barr controls Todd momentarily but Todd frees himself.

The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.

Barr seems keen to control rather than go for a submission, at least for now.
Todd stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Barr swivels though and keeps the full guard.

Todd is sitting in guard, working some ground and pound.
Todd won't allow Barr to sweep him here.
Todd must be cautious of submissions here, given that his opponent has the superior Jiu Jitsu.
Barr wants to get back to his feet but Todd is in a dominant position and won't allow it.
Barr is trying to control the position from the bottom.

Lloyd Barr has forced the referee to step in and bring the fight back to the feet.
Barr shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has Todd pinned against the cage. Todd gets the underhooks and manages to circle away.
Barr is breathing heavily.
Nice shot lands for Barr.
Barr shoots in and drives through. Todd sprawls well.
Todd shoots in but no luck this time.

Todd shoots for a takedown but Barr saw that one coming a mile off and avoided it easily.

Todd closes the distance and gets a double leg, slamming Barr to the mat! Barr manages to get full guard.
Barr has a closed guard, preventing Todd from standing up.
Todd wants to pass the guard but Barr is keeping the position.
Todd working in close now, lands a nice elbow to the side of Barr's head.

Barr keeping moving, preventing Todd from controlling successfully.
Barr has momentary wrist control but Todd slips an elbow through the middle.
Todd tries to free his leg and advance position but Barr is retaining full guard.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
Todd scoring with punches to the head and body.
Hammerfist, elbow! yells Todd's corner. There ya go! There ya go!
Todd distracts Barr with his right hand and drops a big elbow with his other arm.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Todd trying to control but Barr is working from the bottom.
The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action!
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Andrew Todd dominated that round.
The referee calls time. The cornermen exit stage left and we're back to business.


Todd tries to drive through with a takedown attempt but Barr defends well and Todd ends up having to push Barr into the cage where they will battle it out in the clinch.
Barr jumps guard but Todd stands there with Barr around his waist. Barr gives up and drops back to his feet. We remain in the clinch.
Barr lands a right hand.
Todd is looking for a takedown up against the cage. Barr gets underhooks though and prevents the takedown attempt.
Barr is trying to work for a single leg takedown but Todd pulls him back up using the underhooks.
Todd has dropped down and is looking to force the takedown but it's defended by Barr after a bit of a struggle.
Lloyd Barr has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Andrew Todd.

Barr's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does.
Todd misses with a takedown attempt - Barr sprawls well and throws a nice strike on the way out which just misses.
Todd will have to do better than that with his takedown attempts.
Barr scores with a three punch combo!


It looks like Andrew Todd has been cut.
Barr dives in and grabs Todd's left leg, looking for a takedown. Todd pushes down on Barr's head and hops out.

Todd fakes with an overhand right and moves in to clinch with Barr, pushing him back against the cage.

Barr prevents the takedown attempt.
Todd drops down for a takedown but doesn't get it.
Todd wants to take the fight to the mat but Barr manages to get underhooks and keep the fight in the clinch.

Todd is working on a single leg takedown against the cage. Barr can't fight it off and eventually Todd manages to take the fight to the floor. Barr looks annoyed but at least he's managed to land in guard.
Barr is trying to stand up but he's not managed so far.
Todd trying to control the position from guard on top but Barr is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.

Barr working for a triangle but Todd defends it easily.

There's a bit of a scramble here and now Barr is on top in guard.
Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.
Barr wants to control from the top but Todd keeps moving.
Todd looking for a sweep. Not yet Todd, not yet.
Todd is trying to control the position but Barr postures up.

Barr stands and steps away. Todd gets to his feet too and we're back to the striking game.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
Todd on the receiving end of a decent leg kick there by Barr. Barr obviously looking to wear him down.
Andrew Todd seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Barr throws a series of punches but Todd avoids them all with ease.

Todd closes the distance and presses his opponent up against the cage.

Todd has picked Barr up - he's going for a ride! Todd dumps his opponent to the mat with a thud and settles into half guard.
Barr has no desire to be mounted, so is trying to control. Todd is working away from the top position though.
Todd looks to score some points with some ground and pound.
Todd wants to stand but Barr has hold of a leg and an arm, so he's trapped for now.

Todd is trying to work for a kimura. This could be trouble! No, Barr has managed to free his arm - good work.
Todd landing with strikes to the body and head, softening up his opponent.
The two fighters exchange a few words. I couldn't hear what they were saying but maybe it's more fun if you make it up yourself. Todd connects with a nice short shot to Barr's temple.
Todd looks to score some points with some ground and pound.
Todd winds up and cracks Barr with a swinging punch to the side of the head.
Todd really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Barr. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.

Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
Todd wants to take a breather but Barr is having none of it.
Todd trying to advance position but Barr counters by regaining guard.
Todd trying to control but Barr is working from the bottom.
Barr tries to land a sweep but no joy.
Barr keeping full guard, as Todd tries to pass.
Barr will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions.
Todd wants to control from the top but Barr keeps moving.
We must be close to a standup if these guys don't pick up the pace.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.

Andrew Todd has forced the referee to step in and restart the fight on the feet.

Todd feints and then dives in with a takedown. That was a long way out but the feint bought him enough time to close the distance and complete the takedown. Now we'll play guard for a bit and see who can get the better of that position.
Todd wants to stand but Barr has a closed guard, so he can't escape.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Andrew Todd showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.

OK. That's time! The bell goes and we're back to the action. This is the final round!



Todd has closed the distance and engaged Barr in a clinch.

Todd has clasped his hands together around Barr's back... aaand, he's got a takedown into side control. Nicely done.
Todd grinds an elbow into Barr's temple.
Barr manages to land a sweep and he's now on top! Lovely Jiu Jitsu!
Todd is looking to regain full guard. Not this time though.
Todd is persisting with the attempt to improve his position.
Barr passes the half guard and he's now in mount! Big trouble for Todd!

Todd is very frustrated here, being controlled quite effectively by Barr.

Todd tries to escape but he's let his defenses down in doing so and Barr has slipped in the rear naked choke! Oh, that's tiiiiiiiiight! Todd is tapping! This one is aaaaaaaaaaaall over!
