The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Fadda dives in for a single leg takedown but Devlin sprawls and the fighters end up clinched against the cage.
Devlin misses with a knee strike.
Devlin lands a right uppercut that snaps the head of Fadda backwards.
Devlin lands a body shot.
The fighters are pressed against the cage, as the pace of the fight slows.
Devlin pushes Fadda back against the cage and lands a hook to the side of the head.
Devlin lands with a good tight uppercut to the head.
Devlin's corner are urging him to control the action in the clinch for a moment, rather than mount any serious offense. I'm sure the crowd appreciate those instructions... not.
Devlin lands a right hand that snaps the head of Fadda backwards.

Fadda has hold of a leg and is looking for a trip takedown. Devlin avoids it nicely though and we remain in the clinch.

Still in the clinch, Devlin scores with a nice short uppercut.

Fadda manages to break the clinch.
A momentary lapse in concentration from Fadda enables Devlin to shoot in and score with a neat double leg. Fadda manages to secure a closed guard as the fighters hit the mat.

Devlin arches his back and unloads with a massive left and a right! Fadda's eyes roll back into his head, he's out cold! The ref dives in to stop the fight - wow, they were hard shots!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:19 of round 1, we have a winner by way of KO (Strikes). Dion Devlin!

In his post fight interview, Dion Devlin started talking himself up. Luckily his charisma kept the crowd on side and gave him a good reception.
The defeated Baptista Fadda had this to say: 'I'll be back'.
