Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Johny Shadow (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and George Pol (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). George Pol will no doubt be looking to use his reach advantage to good effect.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Johny Shadow!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 2 - 2 - 1, fighting out of Amsterdam, George Pol!
The judges for this bout are Wagner Zegers, Paul Aken and Daniel Blasius.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Pol gets tackled into the cage by Shadow. Shadow maintains the clinch.
A nice left hand lands by Shadow.
Come on Shadow - let's have some action - none of this stalling nonsense.
Pol wants to break free. God knows he wants to breaaaak freeee.

Pol pulls guard successfully.
The referee is pacing around the two fighters - he looks like he's thinking about a standup.
Shadow postures up.
Pol has momentary wrist control but Shadow slips an elbow through the middle.

Shadow tries to free his leg and advance position but Pol is retaining full guard.

Pol takes an elbow right on the bridge of the nose and winces in pain.

You can see the frustration on Pol's face, being in this tough position on the bottom.

The fighters are starting to get a bit slippery now, which will make submissions a bit more difficult.
Shadow looks up at the clock and then as Pol takes his cue and looks up at the clock too, Shadow smacks him right in the chops with a big elbow! How rude!

In the pre-fight buildup videos we saw Pol working his ground and pound in the gym. He isn't landing a great percentage of his ground strikes so far though.

Shadow might be looking to lock onto one of his opponent's long limbs for a submission, whilst we're on the ground.

OK we're going to have a standup here. George Pol hasn't been effective enough on the ground and the referee wants a restart.

The two fighters exchange a few words. I couldn't hear what they were saying but maybe it's more fun if you make it up yourself. Shadow connects with a nice short shot to Pol's temple.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

That was a close second round but I would say that Johny Shadow will probably get the nod.
That's the end of the round. The referee orders the cornermen out of the cage so we can get back down to business. Ladies and gentlemen, this is the final round!

Shadow tightens his grip and picks Pol up, before dumping him to the ground. Pol manages to land in guard.

Shadow slows down the pace of the fight for a moment. He'll need to remain active if he doesn't want to see the fight stood back up.

Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
