Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Mickey Conner (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Joe Mojo (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Mojo looks to land a combination but Conner avoids it well.
Mojo fails with a takedown attempt from distance.

Conner gets in close and instigates a clinch.

Mojo is trying to trip Conner. He has hold of a leg but Conner is hopping around, keeping his balance for the moment. Mojo persists though and gets the takedown into guard.
Mojo won't allow Conner to get back to his feet.
Mojo trying to control but Conner is working from the bottom.
Conner wants to sweep here but Mojo controlling him for the moment.
Mojo trying to move into half guard but instead Conner has managed to sweep!

Conner will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions.

Mojo is looking to stand up but Conner isn't so interested in that idea.
Conner tries to free his leg and advance position but Mojo is retaining full guard.

Mojo working for a triangle but Conner defends it easily.
Conner is just sitting in guard, looking to avoid any submissions.

We're going to have a standup here because Mickey Conner wasn't active enough for the referee's liking.

Conner looking to score a takedown here. Mojo is defending well but Conner drives through and ends up in Mojo's guard.
Conner lands a couple of decent looking shots.
Conner wants to control from the top but Mojo keeps moving.
Conner is frustrating his opponent with some stalling tactics from top position.

Mojo uses the cage to get back to his feet.

Mojo closes the distance and gets a double leg, slamming Conner to the mat! Conner manages to get full guard.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.
Mojo would like to get this fight back to the feet but can't get free from the closed guard.
Conner on his back here. We all know that wrestlers don't like being on their back so let's see if Conner tries to get out of the position.
Conner is looking to stand up but Mojo isn't so interested in that idea.
The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end.

Conner is pulling down on Mojo's head. It's preventing any offense from Mojo, at least for the moment.

That was a close round but I would say that Mickey Conner will probably get the nod.

Conner defends well against a solid takedown attempt from Mojo.
Mojo tries to score a power double leg takedown but Conner sees that one coming and sprawls well. That will dishearten Mojo somewhat.
Mojo is looking to clinch but Conner is avoiding it.
Mojo tries a switch kick but it misses it's target.
Mickey Conner is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things.
No joy there for Conner, who threw a few shots but didn't land.
Mojo tries to clinch but Conner is having none of it.

Mojo lands a big head kick that sends Conner tumbling to the mat! Mojo takes a step backwards and waves Conner back to his feet - he wants the finish!

It looks like Mickey Conner has been cut.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Mojo throws a combination but it was largely blocked by Conner.
Oh Conner is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!!
Conner is looking to clinch.

Mojo shoots in for a takedown. Oh, that's a huge slam! Conner is on queer street and Mojo is pounding down on him with a barage of strikes. The ref is forced to step in and stop the fight. Great finish!
