PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a bantamweight MMA rules bout between Mario Guevera (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Sam Seed (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Seed has chosen Drunken Master as his entrance music. On his way into the cage it seems that Mario Guevera has been attacked by a crazed fan! It looks like it might have been the just bleed guy! Luckily Mario Guevera seems to be OK! I thought that lunatic was in prison!?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the bantamweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 6 - 4 - 0, fighting out of London, Sam Seed!
The judges for this bout are Richard Clark, Colin Fotheringham and James Glass.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Guevera takes a shot right to the bread basket.
Seed throws a series of strikes that have Guevera backpedaling.

It looks like Mario Guevera has been cut.
Seed throws a body kick that misses.
Guevera shoots for a double leg takedown but Seed sprawls well. He's pushed Guevera's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily.
A nice combination there by Seed.
Seed leaves Guevera with his face pressed against the mat as he sprawls beautifully, defending against a solid takedown attempt.
Guevera has been working on his balance at Soul Supremacy - UK, so perhaps that has help him stuff some of the takedown attempts by Seed.
Seed doesn't manage to clinch there - Guevera circles away.
Guevera blocks a jab.
Guevera misses with a takedown attempt - Seed sprawls well and throws a nice strike on the way out which just misses.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Mario Guevera. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Seed lands with an uppercut that bounces Guevera off the cage and back into range.

Guevera is rocked!
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.
Seed cracks Guevera with a nasty uppercut that draws ooohs from the crowd and sends Guevera tumbling backwards onto the mat. He tries to recover but Seed pounces and lands a hail of unanswered strikes that forces the referee to step in to end the fight! Guevera is not happy but he gave the referee no choice!
