PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Bubz Phatz (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Yoshio Osami (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Phatz comes into the arena with Bang Bang Pow Pow blaring out of the sound system. Both these guys have really solid chins. Will we see a standup war or will they both decide that a knockout is unlikely and try to win the fight elsewhere?

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Phatz swings wildly with a couple of big hooks

and Osami counters with a nice single leg takedown and he's in Phatz's guard now.
Osami not doing a lot at the moment. He'll have to show some more aggression or the fight will get stood up.

The ref calls for a clean break and stands the fighters back up. Yoshio Osami wasn't active enough on the ground.

Osami looks for a takedown here. Will he get it? Phatz is fending him off so far but Osami persists. Nope, Phatz circles away and we're back to standing.
Phatz throws a quick inside leg kick.
Phatz feints a jab promting Osami to slip. Phatz then demonstrates his capabilities by jabbing again. Osami slips again and ducks right into an uppercut.
Phatz buckles his opponent's knee momentarily with a nice leg kick.
Osami gets his takedown attempt stuffed easily

and Phatz counters by clinching up.

Phatz breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.

and Phatz counters with a left to the body.
Osami misses with a takedown attempt
and Phatz comes in over the top with a devastating right hand! Osami stumbles back against the cage, looking to regain his senses but Phatz is on him like rabid pit bull! Osami slumps to the ground under a storm of punches and this fight is over!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:54 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Bubz Phatz!
Bubz Phatz opened up his post fight interview with a scream to camera that he wants a title shot! Whether he deserves the shot will be up to the management of the organization, so I guess he'll have to wait and see.
