The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Vader could do with losing a few pounds - he looks very soft around the mid section, to put it politely.

Alvarez looks for a takedown. He's got it. We're now in half guard.
Vader is looking to escape.

Alvarez is working for submissions here but there's nothing on.

Alvarez is looking for an arm triangle, whilst trying to pass to side control. Vader doesn't seem that keen to cooperate though. No luck this time Alvarez.

Alvarez is trying for a guillotine from the top but the pressure isn't in the right place so Vader is just riding it out for now. Alvarez eventually gives up the hold.
