Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 5 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Hilo, Jason Karlsson!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 1 - 1 - 0, fighting out of New York, Lars Nilsson!
The judges for this bout are Paul Gruel, Micheangelo Fripello and Roger Salmon.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Nilsson lands with a thumping leg kick.
Horrible takedown by Karlsson or perhaps it was just good defense by Nilsson which made him look bad.
Nilsson throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle.
Like a baseball bat into the meat of his leg there - nice leg kick by Nilsson.

Karlsson remains in side control and seems content to stay there. It's a versatile position from which he can work both strikes and submissions, whilst maintaining that control, so maybe he'll sit here for a while.
