Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 4 - 1 - 0, fighting out of London, Jere Dunlap!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of London, Matt Cowell!
The judges for this bout are Richard Clark, Chris Edwards and Donald Grub.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Dunlap closes the distance and gets a double leg, slamming Cowell to the mat! Cowell manages to get full guard.
Cowell looking to control.
Dunlap pushing down on Cowell's thigh, trying to pass to half guard. He's managed it... Nice work.
Cowell wants to get back to his feet.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Cowell is looking for a sweep. Dunlap is wise to his cunning plan and keeps the top position.
Dunlap throwing shots but Cowell is blocking nicely.

Cowell actively working from the bottom here.

Dunlap is trying to work for a kimura but Cowell is defending well.

Cowell looking for submissions from an awkward position here.
Dunlap will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions.

Dunlap is just sitting in half guard, waiting for something to happen.

Cowell wants to get back to full guard but Dunlap has mounted him!
Cowell tries to hold on but Dunlap pushes him away.

Dunlap lands a big shot there that rocks Cowell but he's holding on and managing to survive for now.
Cowell really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Dunlap. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
The fighters are going at a pretty good pace and they're both starting to sweat now.
Cowell is wriggling around here but as he tries to escape, Dunlap has taken his back.
This has been an exciting period of action!
Cowell tries to escape but Dunlap has the hooks in and won't let him break free.
Dunlap trying to secure his dominant position for a moment - making sure Cowell doesn't escape.
Dunlap is hanging on to Cowell's back as he tries to escape.

Dunlap is trying to stick to Cowell's back but Cowell is turning into Dunlap. He's managed to reverse the position - now he's in Dunlap's guard. Polite applause from the crowd in appreciation of some nice Jiu Jitsu by Cowell.
Cowell must be cautious of submissions here, given that his opponent has the superior Jiu Jitsu.
Dunlap is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive.
Dunlap wants to stand up but Cowell is controlling him.
Cowell working some ground and pound from guard but it's not doing any damage.

Dunlap working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Cowell doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Oh but Dunlap is tightening it up a little... Cowell has to be careful here... He's got his foot tucked under now, this looks tight! Cowell reacted too slowly and this one could be over in a matter of seconds! YES! Cowell taps out! Nice BJJ there by Dunlap!
