The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Iziarry closes the distance, clinches up and gets a nice trip takedown into side control. Very smooth.
Iziarry is trying to get an arm triangle but Master is defending well.
Master is looking for a sweep.
The fighters are trapped in the ropes so we're going to have a reposition here. The ref calls for a break and repositions the fighters in the center of the ring.
You can see the frustration on Master's face, being in this tough position on the bottom.

Iziarry misses with a strike but at least he's keeping busy, looking to cause some damage - that will still help him when it comes to the judges scorecards.

Iziarry got a little sloppy there for a moment and Master has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, Iziarry has managed to get both his arms back between Master's legs - danger averted.

Iziarry drops back for a leg! It's a sloppy attempt though and Iziarry jumps back into guard quickly, to retain the dominant position.
Iziarry is holding a leg here, probably looking for an ankle lock - he drops back and goes for it! Master is in trouble! Is it all over??? No! Master has escaped and now he's on top!
Master is sitting in guard, working some ground and pound.
Iziarry has momentary wrist control but Master slips an elbow through the middle.
Malcolm Master has got the better of the ground game so far.
Iziarry utilising some decent striking defenses from the guard, preventing the ground and pound.

Master might have to switch it up a bit here because his efforts to control Iziarry haven't been going to plan, at least at the current moment in time.
OK we're going to have a standup here. Malcolm Master hasn't been effective enough on the ground and the referee wants a restart.
Master tries to shoot in for a takedown. He's got hold of a leg but Iziarry swivels and escapes.
Iziarry has closed the distance and engaged Master in a clinch.

Master breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.
Iziarry bobs and weaves into range and then changes levels and scores with a nice takedown into side control.

Master is working really hard to secure the rear naked choke. Iziarry defends successfully for a significant amount of time. Both fighters are looking very determined.

Malcolm Master tried to hype himself up post fight but didn't word it too well and it ended up with him sounding like a bit of a tool.
