The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Jones shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has McCormick pinned against the cage. McCormick gets the underhooks and manages to circle away.
Jones closes this distance looking for a takedown but McCormick circles away.
Jones should think about turning a few of those tyres round his middle into muscle if he wants people to take him seriously as an athlete.
McCormick shoots in for a takedown - he's clinched up with Jones but Jones pushes him off and we're back to square one.
Jones swats away the attempt to clinch by McCormick.
McCormick wants to clinch.
Jones tries to clinch up.
McCormick throws a head kick that misses.
Jones tries to clinch there but McCormick circles away.

McCormick is going to have to think about doing something other than just controlling because Jones is managing to avoid having the position dictated to him.

and Jones makes the exchange count by landing a cracking kick to the body. McCormick really felt that one!

Jones rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but McCormick moves out of range and avoids them all easily.

McCormick prevents Jones from getting back to his feet.
McCormick wants to control from the top but Jones keeps moving.
McCormick throws a big elbow that misses.
McCormick in full guard, throwing the ground and pound. No damage this time.
McCormick has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission.

Jones bucks up and manages to get a nice reversal! He's in guard on the top - nicely done!

Jonny Jones showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.
That's time! McCormick's corner gives him a slap on the ass as he gets ready to fight. This is the final round!

McCormick goes for a double leg but Jones avoids the attempt and the two fighters end up clinched against the cage as Jones continues to drive forward.

McCormick tries a switch kick but it misses it's target.

McCormick shoots in and gets a takedown into half guard. McCormick showed some decent athleticism there.
Jones is looking to regain full guard. Not this time though.
Both fighters are breathing heavily.
Jones desperately trying to maintain half guard.

McCormick wants to take a breather but Jones is having none of it.
McCormick thows a huge punch but Jones dodges it nicely.
Jones keeping control of the leg, stopping his opponent passing to mount.
McCormick is trying to control. Jones wants to improve his position but can't escape this time.
The referee must be thinking about standing these guys back up.

The ref stands the fighters back up. Kenny McCormick wasn't doing enough on the ground.
That's a knee to de groin and it's over and out! McCormick crumples to the ground after an illegal strike from Jones - the referee stops the clock and McCormick gets 5 minutes to recover from that one. "I'm sorry" says Jones. McCormick manages to get back to his feet and the fight resumes.

Jones looks frustrated there after his takedown attempt is stuffed easily.
Jones fails with a rather predictable takedown attempt.

Horrible takedown by McCormick or perhaps it was just good defense by Jones which made him look bad.

We've had a lack of effective grappling in the last minute or so, which could well see a referee standup.
A real slowdown in the pace of the fight for a moment, as Jones holds on and takes a little breather.

I would just about give that final round to Jonny Jones.
