Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Jean Caisse (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Joey Anderson (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Anderson has chosen Akon - Sexy Bitch as his entrance music. Jean Caisse could well score a knockout today. He has the power to get to Joey Anderson's chin.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 1 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Jean Caisse!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 3 - 4 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Joey Anderson!
The judges for this bout are Alec Ball, Yves DeLean and Trevor Gratis.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Anderson throws a series of punches but Caisse avoids them all with ease.
Caisse misses with a takedown attempt. He shot from a bit too far out.

and Anderson counters with a lovely straight right hand!
Anderson scores with a sloppy right hand. Caisse should have avoided that one.
Caisse tries to shoot in for a takedown. He's got hold of a leg but Anderson swivels and escapes.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Jean Caisse. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Anderson keeps the fight standing with a nice sprawl.
Anderson tries to close the distance and clinch up but Caisse swats him away and circles back towards the center.

Caisse looks for a takedown. He's got it. We're now in half guard.
We may be looking at a referee standup if the pace doesn't pick up soon.

Caisse is working for submissions here but there's nothing on.
Neither fighter is being very active at the moment, with Caisse in particular looking to stall.
Caisse is keen to just control but Anderson is a slippery customer.

Caisse trying to mount his opponent but Anderson defends it.
Caisse throwing punches and elbows but they're not doing any damage.
Anderson wants to control but Caisse is keeping busy and won't allow it.
Anderson manages to get to full guard.
Caisse throwing strikes but missing.
Anderson wants to sweep but no luck.
Caisse throwing elbows and punches but not connecting, as Anderson works some decent striking defense from the bottom.

Caisse working in close now, lands a nice elbow to the side of Anderson's head.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Caisse in full guard, throwing the ground and pound. No damage this time.
Caisse throwing elbows and punches but not connecting, as Anderson works some decent striking defense from the bottom.

Caisse has gone for a leg lock! Anderson slips out almost immediately though and dives into Caisse's guard.
Anderson trying to control the position from guard on top but Caisse is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.
Caisse knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Anderson on the ground.

Anderson drops back for a leg but he's not going to get it - he lets go and Caisse dives on top into guard.

Caisse drops back looking for a heel hook - he quickly realises he's not going to get it but Anderson manages to dive on top of him before he can escape and now Caisse has Anderson in his guard.

Caisse has Anderson pulled in close to control his posture.

The referee decides to stand the fighters back up, due to lack of activity on the part of Jean Caisse.

Caisse closes the distance and gets a trip takedown into side control. Anderson quickly recovers to half guard.
Anderson is trying to control but can't.
Anderson tries to kick Caisse off but Caisse keeps his base steady and stays in half guard.
Caisse wants to advance to full mount but Anderson doesn't think that's going to happen and regains full guard instead.
Caisse connects with a couple of short punches.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.

Anderson lands a leg kick. The shin dug right into the meat of the thigh.
Caisse fails with the takedown
and Anderson counters with a lovely shot to the body.
Caisse shoots in for a takedown. He's persisting with it as Anderson sprawls well. Anderson wins this battle and keeps the fight standing. Caisse gets slowly back to his feet.

Anderson gets taken down but at least he's managed to land in guard.
Anderson striking off his back but it's not causing Caisse any problems.
Anderson avoiding any damage from the ground and pound.
Caisse chips away with some ground and pound.

Caisse wants to control from the top but Anderson keeps moving.
Caisse throws an elbow that misses. Anderson uses the momentum to reverse the position. He's now in Caisse's guard. Nice move by Anderson!

Caisse has a closed guard, preventing anything of note from happening. Perhaps he's looking to stall.

The ref stands the fighters back up, due to lack of action by Joey Anderson.

Caisse fakes a strike and closes the distance, dragging Anderson to the ground. Caisse is now in Anderson's guard.
Caisse postures up.
Caisse is in close to Anderson's body, working some short punches and elbows.
Caisse works over Anderson with some ground and pound from guard.

Anderson lands a beautiful switch and he's in full mount! That could spell trouble for Caisse!

Anderson can't quite control the action as he would like just now, as Caisse is looking to escape.
Caisse wriggling around on the bottom manages to avoid the strikes thrown by Anderson.
Anderson wants to control the pace but Caisse is squirming around nicely.

The crowd growing excited in anticipation of a finish here! Right on cue, Anderson cracks his opponent with a massive right hand that draws loud cheers!

Anderson looking to ground and pound but Caisse is blocking nicely.
Caisse is in a horrible position here. Anderson smacks him with another shot as he tries to escape the position.
Caisse is desperately trying to get back to half guard.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.
Caisse squirming around on the bottom, looking to escape.
Caisse on his back here. We all know that wrestlers don't like being on their back so let's see if Caisse tries to get out of the position.
Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.
Caisse is working to get back to half guard.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

That was a close second round but I would say that Jean Caisse will probably get the nod.
That's the end of the round. The referee orders the cornermen out of the cage so we can get back down to business. This is the final round!


Anderson works Caisse's body with a nice hook.
Caisse has a takedown stuffed.
Caisse throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Anderson's waist but Anderson gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Caisse off to one side.
Jean Caisse seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Caisse closes the distance and clinches up with Anderson, looking for a takedown. Caisse pushes Anderson against the cage but Anderson circles to the side and manages to break the clinch.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Jean Caisse. That's going to take a lot out of him.

Anderson takes the fight into the clinch.
Caisse drops to a knee looking for a takedown but Anderson gets the underhooks and prevents it.

Caisse jumps guard and drags Anderson to the mat. He's obviously going to be looking for submissions off his back.
Anderson is looking to work some ground and pound but Caisse has wrist control.
Both fighters are breathing heavily.
Anderson trying to control but Caisse is working from the bottom.

Caisse wants to sweep but no luck.
A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Anderson accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand.
Anderson seems content to control from guard here. He's going to have to remain active though if he doesn't want to get stood back up.
Caisse wants to control but instead he gets his guard passed and Anderson is now in half guard.

Caisse avoiding damage under a succession of punches from Anderson.
Anderson seems to have lost interest with the ground game and is thinking about standing back up.
Jean Caisse overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far.
Caisse keeping his head moving to avoid the ground and pound.
Anderson lands with a punch from half guard.
Caisse wants to control but Anderson passes into side.
Caisse takes a couple of big shots there - the referee warns him that he has to defend himself better.
Caisse wants to control but Anderson postures up.
Anderson postures up a little and throws a couple of hammerfists but they don't connect properly.
Anderson creates some space and throws a big elbow, but Caisse sees it coming and moves his head just enough to avoid the strike.

Caisse is not content to let Anderson control the position.

Anderson tries for a kimura but Caisse is defending well.

Anderson has the superior BJJ but he's also working some ground strikes into his gameplan.

Jean Caisse tried to hype himself up post fight but didn't word it too well and it ended up with him sounding like a bit of a tool.
