The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Salonga looks frustrated there after his takedown attempt is stuffed easily.
Salonga misses with a takedown attempt. He shot from a bit too far out.

Yuuka drives through with a really nice takedown into side control.
The referee wants the fighters to be more active or he's going to reset them on the feet.
Yuuka cracks Salonga with a big elbow.
Yuuka connects with a decent looking elbow from side control that caused Salonga some visible discomfort.

Yuuka is trying to get an arm triangle but Salonga is defending well.

Salonga is not content to let Yuuka control the position.
Salonga tries to get back to half guard but can't.
Yuuka cracks Salonga with a big right hand but Salonga just smiles back at him and invites him to have another go.

Salonga really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Yuuka. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.

Yuuka is working to tighten his grip on Salonga's neck. He's isolated an arm and is working for an arm triangle. Salonga has recognised the danger and is trying to turn with the submission but Yuuka is really squeezing tight and eventually Salonga passes out! Yuuka breaks the hold and jumps onto the cage to celebrate! Submission of the night, I'd say!
