Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Ned Gein (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Roman Hyatt (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Gein kept the crowd waiting but all that was forgotten when his ring entrance music started. The incomparable musical genius that is 'Mama Said Knock You Out' by LL Cool J. Roman Hyatt has the power to score a knockout today if he connects clean with Ned Gein's chin.

Introducing the champion to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 8 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Ned Gein!
And introducing the challenger to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 4 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Roman Hyatt!
The judges for this bout are Matheus Silva, Leandro Rodrigues and Paulo Santos.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Hyatt tests Gein's chin there with a solid looking shot.


It looks like Ned Gein has been cut.

Hyatt tries to sprawl but Gein drives through with a takedown into half guard.
Hyatt is looking to control Gein's leg but it's slowly edging free. Can Hyatt avoid being mounted?
Gein thumps the canvas. Not on purpose obviously - he just missed Hyatt's head.

Gein is thinking about going for an arm triangle but he can't free his leg.
Hyatt is trying to control but can't.
Gein trying to control from half guard but Hyatt is working away.
Gein lands with a punch from half guard.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Gein thows a huge punch but Hyatt dodges it nicely.
Gein is pressing down on Hyatt's thigh, looking to free his foot. Hyatt is holding on for now.
Hyatt wants to control but Gein is keeping busy and won't allow it.
Gein trying to mount his opponent but Hyatt defends it.
Hyatt really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Gein. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.
Hyatt is in trouble now - Gein has advanced to mount!
Gein controlling from the full mount.
Gein throwing sloppy strikes here. Perhaps if he tightened up his striking from such a dominant position, he'd be able to finish easier.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
Hyatt is squirming around, avoiding Gein's attempts to control the action.
Gein lands with some strikes.
The crowd growing excited in anticipation of a finish here! Right on cue, Gein cracks his opponent with a massive right hand that draws loud cheers!

Gein is working on an americana here. Ooh, that looks pretty nasty! Nope, Hyatt has managed to escape the submission attempt.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.
Hyatt gets back to half guard.

Gein wants to work for an arm triangle but Hyatt is really keeping half guard well and defending the submission attempt.
We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Hyatt can do anything to dispel that myth.
Gein tries to pass to full mount but Hyatt defends it.

That's three minutes gone in the round.
Gein passes to side control.
Hyatt tries to buck Gein off but Gein is having none of it.
Gein will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions.
Gein is chipping away with strikes.
Hyatt stops Gein from passing to mount.
Hyatt tries to control but Gein manages to take his back.
Hyatt trying to control but he's just got himself in more trouble.
Hyatt can't escape the position.

That's four minutes gone in the round.
Gein has his opponent trapped and is landing shots. Not a good position for Hyatt.
This has been an exciting period of action!
Gein lands with a couple of good shots - one to the side of the head and one questionable shot that could be viewed as to the back of the head but the referee lets it go.
Gein lands with a big left hand that may well have hurt his opponent. Can Hyatt hold on?!
Hyatt tries to break free.

Gein looking for the rear naked choke. And he's got it! Hyatt taps!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 4:41 of round 1, we have a winner by way of Submission (RNC). Ned Gein!
Ned Gein is the new light heavyweight champion!
During a confident post fight interview, Ned Gein thanked all his fans. He seemed very genuine when describing how motivated his fans keep him.
