The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Nice sprawl there from Rivera as Winston shoots in.
Rivera displays good takedown defense there as he swats away a double leg from Winston.

The referee decides to stand the fighters back up.

Marco Rivera has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Dudley Winston.
Winston tries to drive through with a takedown attempt but Rivera defends well and Winston ends up having to push Rivera into the ropes where they will battle it out in the clinch.

Rivera jumps guard but Winston turns him against the ropes and keeps the fight standing.

Winston throws an elbow but it misses.
Rivera is trying to slow down the pace of the fight but Winston is keeping busy.

Winston lands an elbow that stopped Rivera in his tracks for a moment.

It looks like Marco Rivera has been cut.
Rivera tries to land a knee to the head but Winston blocks with his arms.
Winston pushes Rivera back against the ropes and lands a hook to the side of the head.
Winston stalling here - the referee won't stand for too much of that.
Rivera jumps guard but his hands slip and he falls flat on his back. Well, he's made himself look a right mug there, as Winston walks away with a smile on his face. Rivera gets slowly back to his feet and shakes his head.
Rivera is breathing heavily.
Rivera closes the distance and clinches up with Winston, looking for a takedown. Rivera pushes Winston against the ropes but Winston circles to the side and manages to break the clinch.

Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
Well, if Winston is going to just lie there, perhaps we should talk about what we're having for dinner tonight… I'm having a ham and pineapple pizza… Yum. Can't wait.

Winston is taking a breather. Rivera says something to him but it's hard to make out. Perhaps he's telling him to get on with it and actually do something.
