Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Eric Avila (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Diego Rodriguez (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Avila comes to the cage accompanied by DMX - Ain't No Sunshine. Rodriguez has chosen Planet Terror - El Wray as his entrance music. I can't wait for this one - let's get the fighter introductions out of the way and get this one started!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Rodriguez shoots in for a takedown but doesn't get it.
Avila jabs away that one connects to the head of his opponent.

Rodriguez closes the distance and scores a nice trip takedown into half guard. Avila did well to prevent Rodriguez getting side control.
The referee is pacing around the two fighters - he looks like he's thinking about a standup.

Avila has no desire to be mounted, so is trying to control. Rodriguez is working away from the top position though.
The two fighters exchange a few words. I couldn't hear what they were saying but maybe it's more fun if you make it up yourself. Rodriguez connects with a nice short shot to Avila's temple.
