PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Aaron Knight (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Mandril Cuchillero (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Mandril Cuchillero told me before the fight that he's been watching a lot of DVDs so let's see if that helps him in this one! I can't wait to find out!

Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 2 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Aaron Knight!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 1 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Mandril Cuchillero!
The judges for this bout are Donatello Bradman, Bruno Hogan and Damien Edna.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Some wild striking there from Knight.
A right-left combo lands from Knight.
Knight rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but Cuchillero moves out of range and avoids them all easily.
Knight pulls out of a head kick attempt.
Cuchillero shoots in and drives through. Knight sprawls well.
Cuchillero checks a leg kick.
Cuchillero fails with a takedown attempt.
Wow, both these guys are really going for it!
Cuchillero is on the wrong end of a nice combination from Knight.
Some wild striking there from Knight.
Knight throws a combination. Cuchillero tries to block but a couple of punches get through.
Cuchillero avoids a punch combination nicely.
Knight scores with a shot to the body.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.
Cuchillero shoots for a takedown but Knight saw that one coming a mile off and avoided it easily.
Aaron Knight has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Mandril Cuchillero.
Knight feints a jab promting Cuchillero to slip. Knight then demonstrates his capabilities by jabbing again. Cuchillero slips again and ducks right into an uppercut.

Knight fakes with an overhand right and moves in to clinch with Cuchillero, pushing him back against the cage.
Cuchillero changes levels and goes for a takedown here. Knight fights it off and pushes away nicely.
Cuchillero shoots in looking for a double leg takedown. Knight defends it nicely.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Knight pushes forward with a 1-2 combination that forces Cuchillero back to the cage. Knight follows up with a solid lead hook to the liver.
Knight shapes like he's going to throw a leg kick but settles back down.
Cuchillero shoots for a takedown but Knight saw that one coming a mile off and avoided it easily.
Knight throws a two punch combo that lands nicely.
Cuchillero looks frustrated there after his takedown attempt is stuffed easily.
No luck for Cuchillero with that takedown attempt.
Mandril Cuchillero seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Knight gets in close and tags Cuchillero with a short punch that almost sends Cuchillero to the mat! Oh Cuchillero is in big trouble! He turns his back on Knight, trying to create some distance but Knight rushes him, striking wildly and Cuchillero goes down! The referee tackles Knight into the cage to end the fight! Knight is one violent man!
