The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
We've got one fighter who appears to only be looking to counter and the other not looking particularly aggressive either, so we could be in for a dull fight.
Santiago looks for a takedown but Barbosa sprawls well.
Barbosa has been talking about how he's improved his wrestling in the run up to the fight so let's see if that's enough to sway the balance.
Santiago shoots and misses
and Barbosa counters with a three punch combination, finished off with a leg kick. Nice work.
Santiago closes the distance and clinches up with Barbosa, looking for a takedown. Santiago pushes Barbosa against the cage but Barbosa circles to the side and manages to break the clinch.
Adriano Barbosa has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Felix Santiago.

Barbosa gets caught on his heels momentarily as he allows Santiago to score an easy takedown into full guard.
