The judges for this bout are Ren Mimura, Yukihiro Shimada and Shigeki Fujiwara.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
We've got one fighter who appears to only be looking to counter and the other not looking particularly aggressive either, so we could be in for a dull fight.
Excellent takedown into side control there by Wiaz.
Wiaz trying to control the action but Hanson is working from the bottom.
Wiaz tries to advance to mount but can't.
Wiaz tries for a kimura but Hanson is defending well.
Hanson wants to get back to his feet but Wiaz drags him back down.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
That's one minute gone in the round.
Wiaz has hold of Hanson's arm here. He's working for an Americana. It looks like he might have it! Hanson tries to escape but he's just digging himself in deeper - Wiaz cranks the arm and Hanson screams in pain! The ref makes a decision and ends the fight before the tap - no complains from Hanson, who is just happy to have his arm attached to his body.
