The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Jones fails to land with a series of punches.
Jones thuds a left hand into Budden's body.
Jones scores with a three punch combo!

Budden darts in and clinches Jones up against the cage.
Jones looking to slow down the pace here.
Budden's corner are urging him to control the action in the clinch for a moment, rather than mount any serious offense. I'm sure the crowd appreciate those instructions... not.
Jones tries to land a shot to the body but it's blocked.
Budden stalling.
Jones misses with a punch to the body.
An uppercut on the inside fails to land for Budden.

The referee is keeping an eye on Jones - much more stalling and he will separate the fighters.

Budden has double underhooks and is working for a body lock takedown. He's got it. The fighters land in half guard but Jones regains guard immediately.
Budden trying to control the position from guard on top but Jones is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.
Budden slips effortlessly into side control - very nice.

Budden works to advance to full mount. Jones defends for a few seconds but eventually he succumbs.
