The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Pownd misses with a wild combination.
An inside leg kick lands from Pownd.

Jefferson rushes Pownd and pushes him back against the cage in a clinch.
Pownd misses with some punches.
Jefferson tries to break free but Pownd pushes him back against the cage.
Jefferson blocks an elbow strike.
Pownd misses with an elbow over the top.
A nice glancing elbow lands by Pownd.

It looks like Wallace Jefferson has been cut.

Pownd breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.
Pownd slaps away a takedown attempt from Jefferson, before circling back to the center of the mat.

Pownd lands a jab followed by a vicious hook that sends Jefferson sprawling to the canvas. Pownd follows him down, looking for the kill. Can Jefferson hang on?

Jefferson is rocked!
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
We may be looking at a referee standup if the pace doesn't pick up soon.
Pownd is looking to take a break and control but Jefferson is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom.

Pownd is thwarting Jefferson's attempts to control the position.
Pownd is pressing down on Jefferson's thigh, looking to free his foot. Jefferson is holding on for now.
Jefferson regains full guard, whilst avoiding punches from Pownd.

Pownd got a little sloppy there for a moment and Jefferson has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, Pownd has managed to get both his arms back between Jefferson's legs - danger averted.

Pownd has a momentary lapse of concentration, allowing Jefferson to throw up a leg and lock on what appears to be a pretty tight triangle! Pownd is fighting it off but it's all too little too late - Jefferson pulls down on the head and he's put Pownd to sleep! This one is all over!
