Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Gregorio Reese (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Jack Green (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Green has chosen I Get Wicked as his entrance music. Jack Green has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 3 - 2 - 0, fighting out of New York, Gregorio Reese!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of New York, Jack Green!
The judges for this bout are Alyssa Summers, Reed Andrews and Dean Styles.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Green keeps the fight standing with a nice sprawl.
Nice sprawl there from Reese as Green shoots in.
Reese really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape.
Green shoots in but doesn't get the takedown

and Reese counters by moving into the clinch.

Green pulls guard.
We could do with one of the fighters taking the initiative a bit more on the ground - they're both waiting to capitalize on a mistake.
The referee must be thinking about standing these guys back up.
Reese tries to stand but Green is controlling from the bottom.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Green is pulling down on Reese's head to control his posture.

Green has his foot on Reese's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. Reese works his way back into a safe position though.
Reese knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Green on the ground.
Reese is looking to work some ground and pound but Green has wrist control.
Green trying to keep a closed guard but Reese is proving a slippery customer.
Reese will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions.
Green will have to put a bit more behind his punches if he's going to do any damage from this position.

Reese preventing the sweep.
Reese wanted to stand there but Green had control of the position.

Green looking for submissions off his back, moving his hips, looking for an opening.

Green looking for a guillotine here but Reese defends easily.
Green not looking particularly offensive just at the moment.
Green is working the butterfly guard. He manages to land a nice scissor sweep and is now in half guard on the top. Nice move.

Green is trying to control. Reese wants to improve his position but can't escape this time.
Reese regains full guard. Nicely done.
Green trying to control the position from guard on top but Reese is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.

Reese working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Green doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Green manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem.

Reese on his back here. We all know that wrestlers don't like being on their back so let's see if Reese tries to get out of the position.
The fighters are starting to perspire pretty heavily.
Green is in a good position here but he's just trying to control... And he's not even managing to do that successfully.

Jack Green has forced the referee to step in and restart the fight on the feet.
Reese shoots in looking for a takedown but Green manages to keep the fight standing, pushing Reese's face into the canvas for good measure before circling away.
Green pulls out of a head kick attempt.

Green feints and then dives in with a takedown. That was a long way out but the feint bought him enough time to close the distance and complete the takedown. Now we'll play guard for a bit and see who can get the better of that position.

Reese isolates an arm and boxes in a triangle. Green stacks Reese on his neck as he steps over and passes to the side. He's now in a much more dominant position where he can look to do some serious damage. Nice move by Green!
Reese is trying to buck Green off.

Green slows the pace down.
Green wants to control but Reese is keeping him busy.
Reese defending against the ground and pound.
Green cracks Reese with an elbow. That is naaassty.

Green tries for an arm triangle. That looks pretty tight to me. Is this one over!?! Possibly, maybe, no Green has let go of the choke. Obviously it wasn't as tight as we thought!
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.

Green tries for an arm triangle. That looks pretty tight to me. Is this one over!?! Possibly, maybe, no Green has let go of the choke. Obviously it wasn't as tight as we thought!
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Jack Green dominated that round.
That's time! Reese's corner gives him a slap on the ass as he gets ready to fight.


Green throws a head kick but Reese moves out of range.

Green gets caught flat footed, as Reese shoots in with a quick takedown into guard.

Green has an active guard here but Reese has managed to pass into half guard.
Green is trying to stand up here but Reese is controlling him well.
Green trying to hold on to Reese's head to control him but Reese postures up.
Green is looking to escape.
Reese is taking a breather. Green says something to him but it's hard to make out. Perhaps he's telling him to get on with it and actually do something.

Reese prevents Green from improving his position.
Green is looking to control Reese's leg but it's slowly edging free. Can Green avoid being mounted?

Neither fighter is doing enough for the referee's liking and he's decided to stand them back up.
Reese throws a head kick but Green moves out of range.
Green misses with a two punch combination.

Reese darts in and clinches Green up against the cage.
Reese content to slow the pace in the clinch.

Reese pulls guard effortlessly.
Reese is trying to keep Green in close.
Green wants to stand but Reese is controlling his posture from full guard.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
Green stops Reese from standing up.
Green has decided he wants to stand but the closed guard of Reese is proving hard to escape from.
Green wants to pass the guard but Reese is keeping the position.
Green is breathing heavily.
Reese wants to sweep here but Green controlling him for the moment.
We've had a lack of effective grappling in the last minute or so, which could well see a referee standup.
Reese managing to control the position.

The referee decides to stand the fighters back up.
Green with a lazy takedown attempt

and Reese counters by moving into the clinch.
We're hearing some news coming in from back stage. It's official - Green has eaten all the pies!
Green is trying to break free.

Reese breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat.
No luck for Green with that takedown attempt.
Green has his takedown stuffed
letting Reese counter with a right hand.
Gregorio Reese has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Jack Green.

Reese closes the distance and presses his opponent up against the cage.

Reese pulls Green into guard.
Reese working a defensive guard here.
Reese avoiding any damage from the ground and pound.

Green has decided he wants to stand but the closed guard of Reese is proving hard to escape from.
Reese is trying to keep Green in close.
Green is looking to advance position but Reese has hit a scissor sweep - now he's on top in mount!
Reese fakes a shot to the body and cracks his opponent in the head. Nice ground and pound there!

Reese jumps to side control looking for an arm triangle but Green manages to avoid the submission attempt.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end.
Green can't do much from the bottom here.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Gregorio Reese dominated that second round.
That's time! Reese's corner gives him a slap on the ass as he gets ready to fight. This is the final round!



Reese looking to shoot here. He's gone for it and he's landed a takedown into side control! Oh, that's bad for Green!
Green gets one leg under and gets the fight to half guard.
Reese is trying to control. Green wants to improve his position but can't escape this time.
Green makes his way to full guard. A much better position for Green.
Green wants to sweep here but Reese controlling him for the moment.
Reese is stalling in the full guard.

Green is trying to control the position but Reese postures up.
Green manages to sweep nicely, so he's now on top. Reese manages to get himself to full guard.
Reese throws a couple of shots from the bottom but they don't land.
Green advances to half guard.

Green is looking for a kimura. It's pretty deep but Reese still has the half guard so he's probably OK. Oh, Reese has exploded into a beautiful escape there and after a quick scramble, he's ended up in side control on top! Nice work!
Green takes a big intake of breath there - he's definitely tired.
Green is not content to let Reese control the position.

Green is putting a lot of effort into getting back to his feet here.
Reese working away.
Green is trying to get back to half guard. He's pushing on Reese's leg. He's managed it. Nice work.
Reese passes into side control, despite Green's attempt to control the position.
Green takes a couple of big shots there - the referee warns him that he has to defend himself better.

That's three minutes gone in the round.
Green is positioning himself to get back to half guard.
Green gets back to half guard.
The two fighters exchange a few words. I couldn't hear what they were saying but maybe it's more fun if you make it up yourself. Reese connects with a nice short shot to Green's temple.
Neither fighter is being very active at the moment, with Reese in particular looking to stall.
Green is trying to stand.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

That's four minutes gone in the round.
Reese is figuring out what he wants to do next.
Reese has controlled the position for a good 20 seconds, which will no doubt be starting to frustrate his opponent.
Reese wants to stand up but Green is controlling the position.
Reese slows the pace down in half guard.

Gregorio Reese has forced the referee to step in and bring the fight back to the feet.
Green looks for a takedown here. Will he get it? Reese is fending him off so far but Green persists. Nope, Reese circles away and we're back to standing.
The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end.
Reese tries to clinch but is not successful on this occasion.

Reese moves into the clinch successfully.

And that's the end of the fight!
That was a close round. You could make an argument for either fighter but I would give it to Gregorio Reese.
I think Reese has won this one but let's see what the judges have to say. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
