Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Marcos Bowers (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Matt Stafford (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Matt Stafford will no doubt be trying to keep this one on the feet, where he has a distinct advantage.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Stafford shoots and misses
and Bowers counters with a straight right hand.
Stafford with a poor takedown
and Bowers counters with a one-two to the body.
Bowers is looking to clinch.
Bowers on the receiving end of a decent leg kick there by Stafford. Stafford obviously looking to wear him down.
Stafford looks for a takedown here. Will he get it? Bowers is fending him off so far but Stafford persists. Nope, Bowers circles away and we're back to standing.
Marcos Bowers has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Matt Stafford.

Bowers changes levels and drives through with a really nice takedown into side control. Stafford looks really pissed at himself for not defending that better.
We've had a lack of effective grappling in the last minute or so, which could well see a referee standup.
Stafford is trying to control Bowers's posture but Bowers avoids it.
Bowers wants to stand but Stafford has his arm trapped.
Stafford can't do much from the bottom here.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!

Bowers really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape.

What can Stafford do to escape this position? He's going to have to figure it out pretty quick if he wants to stay in the fight!

Bowers has the rear naked choke here! This is very bad for Stafford! Can he survive? No! He's out! Bowers gets to his feet and celebrates with his cornermen. He looks absolutely delighted. In the post fight interviews he takes time to thank his parents and everyone who has believed in him from the start. How sweet.
