PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Dmitriy Bukharin (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Andy Warhola (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Bukharin comes to the cage accompanied by "Terminator 2" by Brad Fiedel. Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Bukharin swinging wilding here.
Bukharin jabbing away but nothing is landing.
Bukharin rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but Warhola moves out of range and avoids them all easily.
Nice uppercut lands for Bukharin. That snapped Warhola's head back.

It looks like Andy Warhola has been cut.
Bukharin misses with a jab, cross combination.
No joy there for Bukharin, who threw a few shots but didn't land.
Bukharin throws a right hand that Warhola ducks under and follows up with a left that Warhola also avoids with ease.
Warhola lands a two punch combo.
Bukharin misses with a looping left.
Bukharin misses with a hook. Warhola ducked under it nicely.

Bukharin is really struggling to find his range with his punches. Bukharin's reach advantage is clearly causing him problems.

Warhola closes the distance and clinches up with Bukharin, looking for a takedown. Warhola pushes Bukharin against the cage but Bukharin circles to the side and manages to break the clinch.

Warhola should think about turning a few of those tyres round his middle into muscle if he wants people to take him seriously as an athlete.

Warhola goes for an armbar! This could be all over! Wait, no, Bukharin rolls with the submission and now he's on top in Warhola's guard! Nice work there by Bukharin!

Warhola looks to be working for a triangle here. Oh, it looks like he might have it! Bukharin has picked Warhola up and slammed him! Warhola can't keep hold of the triangle and Bukharin manages to pass to side control!

The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight.

Bukharin is really head hunting here, hardly looking to strike to the body at all.
Bukharin throws out a leg kick but Warhola moves out of range and Bukharin only half commits.

The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end.
Warhola throwing elbows and punches but not connecting, as Bukharin works some decent striking defense from the bottom.
Bukharin is avoiding any damage by keeping wrist control.

Bukharin swings wildly with a right hand that was never going to find it's target.

Bukharin might be looking to lock onto one of his opponent's long limbs for a submission, whilst we're on the ground.
Bukharin wants to control from the top but Warhola keeps moving.

Bukharin slips nicely into half guard.
Warhola seems to have recovered his senses.

Bukharin tries to stand but can't do so whilst Warhola controls his leg.

Bukharin uses his free foot to push down on Warhola's thigh. Eventually he works his other foot free and he's advanced to mount - this is trouble for Warhola.

Bukharin throws a lazy right hand but Warhola sees it coming a mile off and sidesteps it easily.

It really doesn't seem like the step up in weight is hurting Bukharin here at all. He's more than holding his own against the bigger man.

The referee has ruled that neither fighter is active enough on the ground and has stood them back up.

Bukharin lands a really nice looking cross but Warhola seems unphased.
Dmitriy Bukharin is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Bukharin scores with a jab.
Warhola walks straight into a right hand from Bukharin - that's dropped him! Bukharin jumps into mount and starts pounding away - can he finish?! More strikes go undefended and the referee has to dive in to save Warhola from any more punishment! Warhola complains about the stoppage but falls over as he tries to stand back up, so it was clearly a good stoppage.
