Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Gabriel Fenili (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Amazing Game (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Game has chosen Spirit in the Sky as his entrance music. I don't know about you partner, but I'm pumped for this one!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 14 - 12 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Gabriel Fenili!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 11 - 11 - 1, fighting out of New York, Amazing Game!
The judges for this bout are Steve Montenegro, Jonathan Paton and Jorge Garcia.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Fenili has Game up against the cage in a clinch.

Fenili decides to pull guard.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
The referee is asking the fighters to pick up the pace.

Fenili working for a triangle but Game defends it easily.
Game postures up.
Fenili is really struggling to control Game but he's trying to hold on to the position.
Game stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Fenili swivels though and keeps the full guard.
Game controlling from the top position.
Game throwing elbows and punches but not connecting, as Fenili works some decent striking defense from the bottom.

The referee decides to stand the fighters back up, due to lack of activity on the part of Gabriel Fenili.

Game drives through and clinches with Fenili against the cage.
Game is trying to slow down the pace in the clinch, to catch his breath.

Fenili tries for a takedown. No joy.
Fenili has been working on his balance at ACME! Thai Boxing Academy 13 ELITE COACHES & SAUNA, so perhaps that has help him stuff some of the takedown attempts by Game.

Fenili tightens his grip and picks Game up, before dumping him to the ground. Game manages to land in guard.
Game wants to sweep here but Fenili controlling him for the moment.
Game really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Fenili. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.

We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Game can do anything to dispel that myth.

Fenili trying to control the position from guard on top but Game is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.
Fenili stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Game swivels though and keeps the full guard.

Neither fighter is doing enough for the referee's liking and he's decided to stand them back up.
Fenili changes levels and scores with a jab to the body.

Game moves into the clinch.
Game is trying to maintain a safe position but Fenili gets an underhook and turns Game into the cage.
Fenili is trying to drag Game to the mat but Game just about manages to keep his footing. He used the cage to his advantage there.

Fenili escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.

Fenili closes the distance and pushes Game back into the cage.

Game stumbles momentarily as he takes a strong leg kick from Fenili.

Game is trying to slow down the pace in the clinch, to catch his breath.

Game receives a warning from the referee for stalling.

Fenili tries to take the fight to the ground by pulling guard but can't manage it.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Gabriel Fenili. That's going to take a lot out of him.
The referee is keeping an eye on Game - much more stalling and he will separate the fighters.
The ref breaks the fighters up, due to lack of action by Amazing Game.
Game keeping a good distance there, avoiding the body shot.
Fenili throws a series of strikes that have Game backpedaling.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

Game is working hard here but doesn't seem to be able to control effectively, up against the cage.
Fenili is working for a takedown up against the cage. He can't get it on this occasion though.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Gabriel Fenili dominated that round.
The fighters get back to their feet, the hooter sounds and we're back to the action!

Game pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat.
Fenili avoids a punch combination nicely.
Game avoids the clinch attempt nicely.
Game stuffs the takedown attempt from Fenili. Fenili gets slowly back to his feet.
Fenili closes the distance and clinches up with Game, looking for a takedown. Fenili pushes Game against the cage but Game circles to the side and manages to break the clinch.

and Fenili counters with a straight right hand.
A right-left combo lands from Game.

Fenili shoots in and gets a takedown into Game's guard.
Fenili wants to control from the top but Game keeps moving.
Game managing to control the position.

The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!

The referee has ruled that neither fighter is active enough on the ground and has stood them back up.

Game will no doubt start fighting again in a minute but for now he's just having a little rest, leaning Fenili up against the cage.

This has been an exciting period of action!

Amazing Game showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.

A real battle for position is taking place between these two warriors.

Fenili manages to pull guard. Let's see whether he can land a sub off his back.

Game is looking to take a break and control but Fenili is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom.

Game perhaps working for something from half guard, or maybe not. It looks like he's just sitting there.

Amazing Game has forced the referee to step in and restart the fight on the feet.
Game throws a leg kick but Fenili sees it coming and checks it nicely.

Fenili tries to pull guard but Game forces him back to his feet, against the cage.
Game stalling in the clinch but Fenili improves position.
Fenili has Game pressed up against the cage and is working for takedown. Game manages to improve position though and keeps the fight standing.
Game swings wildly with an uppercut but Fenili uses good head movement to avoid it.

Fenili looking for submissions off his back, moving his hips, looking for an opening.
Game must be cautious of submissions here, given that his opponent has the superior Jiu Jitsu.

Game is intent on slowing down the pace of the fight, simply looking to control.
We may be looking at a referee standup if the pace doesn't pick up soon.

Fenili escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Game gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.

And that's the end of the fight!
That was a close round. You could make an argument for either fighter but I would give it to Gabriel Fenili.
I think Fenili has won this one but let's see what the judges have to say. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
