PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Eldon Mack (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Grasso Debussi (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Grasso Debussi told me before the fight that he's been watching a lot of DVDs so let's see if that helps him in this one! I can't wait to find out!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 1 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Eldon Mack!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Grasso Debussi!
The judges for this bout are Yasuomi Hirokawa, Shirou Masuda and Kenichi Hosakawa.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Mack has a takedown stuffed.
Debussi looks really tired already! That doesn't bode well for a good, competitive fight!

and Debussi decides to take the opportunity to score a takedown. He's landed in Mack's guard.
The referee wants the fighters to be more active or he's going to reset them on the feet.
Mack has control of Debussi's left arm, preventing Debussi from doing any damage.
Mack wants to hit a switch here but Debussi passes into full mount! Oh no, disaster for Mack there!
Mack tries to hold on but Debussi pushes him away.
Debussi tucks in and makes sure he doesn't lose the dominant position.
Mack tries to buck Debussi off but he can't manage it.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Mack is working to get back to half guard.
Mack really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape.
Debussi lands a shot to the body, followed up by a shot to the exposed head of his trapped opponent.
Debussi content just to control the position here.

Debussi working to secure an arm triangle but it's not happening for him just yet.
Mack is trying desperately to improve position.

Debussi controlling from mount.
Mack can't escape the position.
Debussi sitting in mount, just looking to control for the moment.
Debussi lands an elbow that was bordering on illegal but the referee lets it go with a warning.

That's three minutes gone in the round.
Mack tries to control Debussi's body but Debussi pushes him off. Mack squirms to his side and now Debussi has his back!

Debussi is working for a rear naked choke. Mack is not defending it well and Debussi has tightened it up quickly! This could be all over! Mack refuses to tap and goes to sleep, forcing the referee to intervene. A little trickle of blood came out of Mack's nose as his head slumped to the floor. That is naaaasty!
