Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Alekzandr Borikav (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Eric Matthews (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Borikav comes to the cage accompanied by Pelican - Bliss in Concrete. Eric Matthews is the more experienced fighter, so let's see if that makes a difference tonight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 6 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Alekzandr Borikav!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 5 - 14 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Eric Matthews!
The judges for this bout are Jack Bonds, Don Winkell and Timothy Bukovac.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Matthews shoots in and drives through. Borikav sprawls well.
Matthews darts in looking for a takedown but Borikav gets double underhooks and turns Matthews into the cage.
Borikav wants to break the clinch but can't.
Borikav prevents the takedown attempt.
Alekzandr Borikav has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Eric Matthews.
Matthews has hold of a leg and is looking for a trip takedown. Borikav avoids it nicely though and we remain in the clinch.

Borikav pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat.
Matthews shoots in but Borikav avoids the takedown attempt easily.
Matthews misses with a takedown attempt - Borikav sprawls well and throws a nice strike on the way out which just misses.
Matthews uses good head movement to avoid the hook from Borikav.
Borikav lands a powerful looking uppercut that connected with his opponent's jaw.
Borikav definitely looks more muscular than last time we saw him fight.

Borikav feints and then winds up with a huge right hand that connects perfectly and sends Matthews sprawling to the canvas! Matthews rolls over backwards and springs off the cage and manages to regain his footing - how acrobatic! Oh, he's still wobbly - can Borikav finish him?!
This has been an exciting period of action!
Matthews tries to score a power double leg takedown but Borikav sees that one coming and sprawls well. That will dishearten Matthews somewhat.
Borikav displays good takedown defense there as he swats away a double leg from Matthews.
Borikav misses with a looping left.
Matthews is trying desperately to land a takedown but Borikav is having absolutely none of it. This is turning into a bit of a nightmare for Matthews.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Borikav walks forward and throws a big overhand right! Matthews drops to the floor like a sack of potatoes! Borikav swarms on him with more punches until the referee wrestles him away from Matthews's unconscious body! Wow, that was brutal!
