Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Jorma Kultane (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Koa Kalua (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of
3 - 0 - 1, fighting out of Hilo, Jorma Kultane!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of
1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Hilo, Koa Kalua!
The judges for this bout are Josh West, Chris Saunders and Paul Gruel.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Kalua lands a jab to the head.
Kalua rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but Kultane moves out of range and avoids them all easily.
Kultane tries to clinch there but Kalua circles away.
Kalua moving in and out of range nicely, whilst landing the scoring shot.
Kalua swings wildly with a couple of big hooks
and Kultane counters with a nice single leg takedown and he's in Kalua's guard now.
Kultane is in a tricky position. We've heard reports from his gym mates at Steel Penn/Heavy Hands Gym that he's been drilling escapes, so let's see if he can get back to his feet.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!

Kultane has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission.

Kultane passes Kalua's left leg - he's now in half guard.
Kultane seems very keen to just sit and control from half guard but Kalua does not like that idea so much and is remaining active off his back.
Kalua is trying to control but can't.
Kalua has hold of Kultane's hands but Kultane slips his arm to the side and lands an elbow.
Kultane not throwing his punches with enough precision this time.
Kultane lands with an elbow from half guard - that looked like it hurt.
Kultane moves nicely into side control.
Kultane throws an elbow but Kalua slips to the side and avoids it well.
Kultane lands a nice forearm strike.
That's two minutes gone in the round.
Kalua is not in a great position here, taking some shots.
Kalua tries to work a leg under to get back to half guard but Kultane wriggles his own leg back out and remains in side control.

Kultane wants to control but Kalua is keeping him busy.
Check out the look on Kultane's face as he threw that strike - that's one determined fighter!

Kultane breaks from Kalua's wrist control and lands an elbow.
Kalua really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Kultane. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.

Kalua is rocked!
Kultane postures up and throws a couple of big shots that have Kalua in real trouble here! The ref calls for Kalua to improve his position which he doesn't do, so the referee has no choice but to end the fight due to the strikes!
