The judges for this bout are James Glass, Paul Tew and Donald Grub.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Karhu closes the distance but Goldman moves to the side
and Goldman counters with a stiff right hand.
Goldman throws a front kick that sends Karhu stumbling back into the cage.
Goldman throws a leg kick that is checked
and Karhu counters with a shoot takedown into half guard.
We've had a lack of effective grappling in the last minute or so, which could well see a referee standup.
Goldman keeping control of the position.

Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
Karhu is trying to get back to his feet now but his leg is trapped.

and Karhu counters with a nice body kick.
Karhu ducks under a wild hook from Goldman.
Karhu shoots in looking for a takedown. Goldman tries to sprawl out of it but Karhu keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Goldman manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.

and Karhu counters with a shot to the ribs. That looked like it hurt.
Karhu chopped to the floor by a nice leg kick but he springs right back up before Goldman can pounce on him.
Goldman fakes a head shot and lands one to the body.
Karhu fails miserably with a takedown attempt.
Karhu throws a push kick but Goldman slaps the foot to one side.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.
Goldman buckles his opponent's knee momentarily with a nice leg kick.
A really sloppy takedown attempt there from Karhu.
Goldman displays good takedown defense there as he swats away a double leg from Karhu.

and Goldman counters with a nice uppercut.

Goldman throws a monster uppercut resembling something out of street fighter but it doesn't land.

Goldman bobs and weaves and unloads with a good uppercut.

Jeez, Nalle Karhu's cut is really nasty now. The referee must be thinking about getting that checked.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Karhu uses decent footwork to sidestep a right hand from Goldman.
Nalle Karhu is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things.
Karhu closes the distance and clinches.
Goldman is trying to push Karhu away but Karhu has him pressed against the cage, so he's going nowhere.

Karhu shoots in looking for a single leg takedown. Goldman is trying to defend but Karhu finishes it well and ends up in half guard. Let's see if he can advance position further.
