The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Da Gaucho walks into a jab.
Silvinho uses decent footwork to sidestep a right hand from Da Gaucho.

Silvinho tries to sprawl but Da Gaucho drives through with a takedown into half guard.

Silvinho is refusing to be controlled, as Da Gaucho sits in half guard.
Silvinho tries to get to full guard but Da Gaucho has control of the leg.

Da Gaucho wants to work for an arm triangle but Silvinho is really keeping half guard well and defending the submission attempt.

Da Gaucho is working really hard to secure the rear naked choke. Silvinho defends successfully for a significant amount of time. Both fighters are looking very determined.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

Silvinho breaks Da Gaucho's hooks off and manages to turn into his guard.

Da Gaucho has thrown up a leg looking for a triangle. Silvinho doesn't defend quickly enough and Da Gaucho has managed to lock this one up! Can Silvinho escape?! NO! He's tapping out! Damn, that was a quick submission - congrats to Da Gaucho on a fantastic submission victory.
