PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Joe Frazier (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Genghis Khan (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Fingers crossed for an exciting fight - I'm sure both fighters are looking for a nice under the table bonus!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 5 rounds, for the heavyweight championship of the world!
Introducing the champion to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 17 - 4 - 0, fighting out of New York, Joe Frazier!
And introducing the challenger to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 13 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Genghis Khan!
The judges for this bout are John Kavanagh, Joseph Jones and Franklyn Lucas.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Khan forces Frazier back against the cage and clinches.
Frazier gets through Khan's defenses to land a nice punch to the side of the head.
Both fighters working to control the clinch.
Frazier seems a little flustered. He's come in with the intention of controlling the clinch but Khan is preventing him from doing so, at least for the moment.
Frazier lands with a short shot to the head.
Khan swings wildly with an uppercut but Frazier uses good head movement to avoid it.
Khan avoiding damage as Frazier throws knees to the body.
Khan misses with the head strike.
Frazier tries to land a knee to the head but Khan blocks with his arms.
Frazier is pushing Khan up against the cage, for a bit of lean and pray action. Action being used the in the loosest possible sense of the word.
Frazier is trying to stall.
Frazier prevents a body shot from Khan.
Khan swings away with an uppercut that misses.
Frazier just leaning against Khan, taking a breather.

Frazier unloads a knee to the mid-section.
Frazier stalls.
The ref breaks the fighters up, due to lack of action by Joe Frazier.
Frazier swings for the body but Khan moves out of range.
Khan throws a jab to the body, straight down the pipe. Boom. That sent Frazier stumbling backwards but he manages to regain his composure quickly.
Khan throws a hook but Frazier avoids it easily.
Khan checks a leg kick.
Khan loads up on a big right hand but Frazier slips the punch.
Frazier pivots, looking for a leg kick but Khan is out of range and Frazier settles back down.
Frazier fakes a couple of low kicks, before throwing one on the third attempt. It connects and Khan has to reset his feet before getting ready to engage.
Boom, another hit is landed. "You're gunna get knocked out" taunts Khan, as that shot connected.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
Khan works Frazier's body with a nice hook.

Frazier has closed the distance and engaged Khan in a clinch.

Frazier is looking to score with knees to the body. Maybe he'll change it up and go body then head. Khan is defending well for now.

Frazier really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape.

The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.

Frazier putting his Muay Thai to good use. He has Khan in a tight clinch and is doing some damage with knees to the body.
Khan misses with a punch to the body.
With the fighters clinched against the cage, Frazier creates a bit of distance for himself and scores with a nice uppercut.

Khan stays in close to his opponent and throws a right hand to the body.

Frazier tries to work over Khan's body with a swooping hook but it only glances the target.

The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action!

Khan has been looking to improve his clinch game in recent weeks. Frazier seems to have the measure of him in the clinch so far, so let's see if Khan can turn it around.

Still in the clinch, Khan scores with a nice short uppercut.
Frazier's head jolts backwards as he takes an uppercut right on the button!
