PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a bantamweight MMA rules bout between Burt Stuart (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Bruce Lee (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Both fighters will be looking to make this an exciting fight for the fans, I'm sure!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the bantamweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Burt Stuart!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Bruce Lee!
The judges for this bout are Don Winkell, and Jack Bonds.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Stuart shoots for a takedown but Lee saw that one coming a mile off and avoided it easily.
Lee tries to close the distance and clinch up but Stuart swats him away and circles back towards the center.
Stuart avoids the head kick by Lee.
Stuart throws a jab, cross combination which is slipped

and Lee moves into the clinch.
Lee prevents the takedown attempt.
Lee is trying to pull guard but Stuart has him pressed against the cage.
The referee is keeping an eye on Stuart - much more stalling and he will separate the fighters.
Stuart seems to have come into the fight with the intention of avoiding any damage in the clinch, rather than actually showing any aggression.

Stuart breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.

That's one minute gone in the round.

Lee shoots in and scores a nice double leg takedown into half guard.
Lee prevents Stuart from improving his position.
Lee is trying to control the action in half guard but Stuart is working away on the bottom, looking perhaps to get back to full guard.
Stuart is trying to maintain the position but Lee is very close to passing his half guard.
Lee thumps the canvas. Not on purpose obviously - he just missed Stuart's head.
Stuart regains full guard. Nicely done.
Lee wants to control from the top but Stuart keeps moving.
Lee tries to stand but Stuart is controlling from the bottom.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
Lee stands up out of Stuart's guard for a moment - Stuart manages to land a nice upkick.
Stuart not looking particularly offensive just at the moment.
Lee wanted to stand there but Stuart had control of the position.

Stuart is looking for a triangle but Lee pushes his legs off easily.
Lee trying to stand up but can't free himself from Stuart's guard.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.
Lee trying to pass the guard but can't manage it just yet.
Stuart is avoiding any damage by keeping wrist control.
Lee must be cautious of submissions here, given that his opponent has the superior Jiu Jitsu.

That's three minutes gone in the round.
Lee won't allow Stuart to sweep him here.

Lee avoids a guillotine attempt easily.
Stuart tries to land a sweep but no joy.

Stuart is looking for a guillotine. You can't force these things though and Lee defends well.

Lee looking to improve position, pressing down on Stuart's thigh with his hand. Stuart seems to be working to lock up a guilotine though... is Lee paying attention? Apparently not! He's locked it up tight! Lee's face has turned purple! Will he tap? Will he! YES! He's tapped! Stuart picked his opening and made it count! Great finish!
