Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Donnell Hill (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Eddie Joyce (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Joyce has chosen Irish Rover as his entrance music. Eddie Joyce has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

The judges for this bout are Chris Saunders, Colin Fray and Ryoma Takatsuka.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Hill wants to clinch.
Joyce lunges in with swinging rights and lefts but Hill circles away quickly and effectively.
Hill dodges the punch combination from Joyce.
Joyce is looking to score with low kicks.
No joy there for Joyce, who threw a few shots but didn't land.
Joyce cracks Hill with a hook to the jaw. Both fighters smile at eachother and high-five before getting back down to business.

It looks like Donnell Hill has been cut.
Eddie Joyce seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Joyce falls off balance throwing a combination
and Hill counters with a nice body kick.
Joyce looks to land a right hand but Hill moved out of range.
This has been an exciting period of action!
Joyce throws a combination but it was largely blocked by Hill.
Joyce keeps the fight standing with a nice sprawl.

Hill could do with losing a few pounds - he looks very soft around the mid section, to put it politely.
Joyce goes for a double leg but Hill avoids the attempt and the two fighters end up clinched against the cage as Hill continues to drive forward.

Hill gets control of Joyce's arms and successfully pulls guard. Hill will no doubt be looking for submissions off his back.

The referee looks like he's ready to step in and stand the fighters back up.

Hill is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive.
Joyce wants to control from the top but Hill keeps moving.

Joyce drops back looking for a leg! Hill is in trouble here! The fighters roll with the hold and Hill manages to kick Joyce off! Joyce jumps back into Hill's guard.

The ref calls for a clean break and stands the fighters back up. Eddie Joyce wasn't active enough on the ground.
Joyce swings away but doesn't land with a series of punches.

and Hill moves into the clinch.

Joyce drops to a knee looking for a takedown but Hill gets the underhooks and prevents it.

Hill tries to score a power double leg takedown but Joyce sees that one coming and sprawls well. That will dishearten Hill somewhat.

Joyce closes the distance and clinches.
Hill has Joyce pressed up against the cage and is working for takedown. Joyce manages to improve position though and keeps the fight standing.

Hill is trying to pull guard but Joyce has him pressed against the cage.

Joyce tries to jump guard but he falls flat on his backside. Hill smiles and moves away.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.

The fighters are going at a pretty good pace and they're both starting to sweat now.
and Hill counters with a series of strikes. Joyce will be more careful next time no doubt.

Hill shoots in for a takedown but Joyce shows good takedown defense there and keeps this one on the feet.
Joyce misses with a jab and misses with a cross straight after too.
Joyce lunges in with swinging rights and lefts but Hill circles away quickly and effectively.

Hill stuffs the takedown attempt from Joyce. Joyce gets slowly back to his feet.

Horrible takedown by Hill or perhaps it was just good defense by Joyce which made him look bad.

A really sloppy takedown attempt there from Hill.
Joyce throws a right and a left that both miss.
Hill has a takedown stuffed.
Hill dodges the punch combination from Joyce.
Joyce is the aggressor but that punch slipped nicely by Hill.
Joyce avoids the clinch attempt nicely.
Joyce throws a right hand that Hill ducks under and follows up with a left that Hill also avoids with ease.

Hill shoots in for a takedown. He's persisting with it as Joyce sprawls well. Joyce wins this battle and keeps the fight standing. Hill gets slowly back to his feet.
Joyce lets the fists fly and connects with a left straight followed by a right hook.

Eddie Joyce seems to be getting the better of the standup.
Joyce lands a jab followed by a nice looking cross.

Hill throws a head kick that half lands.
Hill shoots in and drives through. Joyce sprawls well.

Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

The fighters' corners scream their final instructions, as the referee calls time. Here we go, back to the action! This is the final round!

Hill shoots in for a takedown - he's clinched up with Joyce but Joyce pushes him off and we're back to square one.
Hill swings away with a body shot that misses
and Joyce connects with a straight left hand counter down the middle.
Joyce cracks Hill's jaw with two stiff jabs then ducks low and throws a soul-severing right uppercut to the mouth!! Hill slumps to the ground with blood on his lips. The referee steps in before Joyce can do further damage! This one is done, son!
