Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Buster Cherry (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and John Doe (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Chooooooooon! I think Cherry might be my favorite fighter, now he's come out to Busters Back. Doe is bobbing his head along to his entrance song: whatsername. Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Cherry takes an uppercut right on the button but keeps his composure.
Doe walks forward and throws out a flicking leg kick. Cherry checks it nicely though, as he moves to the side.
Cherry looks to land a right hand but Doe moved out of range.
Doe showing good head movement there, avoiding the strikes from Cherry.
Doe moves away from the strike by Cherry.
Cherry shoots in for a takedown but doesn't get it.
Doe staying out of range there.
Jab, jab by Doe - just one landing.
Cherry throws a lazy right hand but Doe sees it coming a mile off and sidesteps it easily.
Cherry connects with an inside leg kick.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

Cherry tries to land with a swinging hook to the body but Doe was well out of range. Poor timing from Cherry.
Cherry throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Doe's waist but Doe gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Cherry off to one side.
Doe loads up on a big right hand but Cherry slips the punch.

The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.
Cherry connects with a lovely right hand, straight down the pipe.

Cherry has a butterfly guard looking to sweep but Doe has passed into side control.

Doe grinds an elbow into Cherry's temple.

Doe wants to lay and pray for a moment but Cherry keeps working.

The referee asks Doe politely if he wouldn't mind getting on with it and actually doing something. Doe prefers to stall for the moment though.

That was a close round but I would say that Buster Cherry will probably get the nod.
