The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Hughes has his hands up protecting his head but a hook from Singh finds it's way round the side to connect with Hughes's head.
Hughes ducks under a wild hook from Singh.
Hughes misses with a series of wild punches.
Singh has been working on his boxing with his coaches at Consortium Private LA in the buildup to the fight.
Singh uses some good footwork to avoid the body shot by Hughes.
Hughes shoots for a takedown but Singh saw that one coming a mile off and avoided it easily.
Hughes throws an ugly left hook that misses
letting Singh counter with a right hand.
Singh tries to bum rush Hughes with a series of wild strikes but Hughes uses good footwork to avoid the assault.
Hughes needs to keep his hands up - Singh had a free shot at his head there.
Singh scores with a sloppy punch to the body. Not much technique there but it did the business.
Singh misses with a looping left.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.
A jab lands there for Singh.

It looks like Leandro Hughes has been cut.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Singh lands a glancing blow to the side of Hughes's head.
Singh stuns Hughes with a nice body shot, before stepping back out of range.
Hughes doesn't succeed with the takedown
and Singh counters with a slapping leg kick.
Hughes drops his hands and takes a jab to the jaw for his troubles.
Hughes takes a jab on the nose. He smiles like he loves it and keeps coming.

Boom, another hit is landed. "You're gunna get knocked out" taunts Singh, as that shot connected.
Hughes throws a hook but Singh avoids it easily.
Hughes throws a low kick but Singh moves out of range easily.

A decent looking cross lands there for Singh.
Singh throws a good cross that connects.
Hughes takes a shot to the eye socket. That's gotta hurt.
Singh lands a jab to the head.
Singh scores with a crisp jab that stopped Hughes in his tracks.

That has opened up Leandro Hughes's cut even more.
Singh fakes a right and follows up with a big left that drops Hughes to one knee - oooooh, he's wobbly! Hughes looks to clinch but Singh throws him off and pummels him into the canvas! Hughes taps out under the strikes! The fight is over!
