Coming up we have a bantamweight MMA rules bout between Noel Severino (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Terry Aunor (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the bantamweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 7 - 8 - 0, fighting out of New York, Noel Severino!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 11 - 3 - 0, fighting out of New York, Terry Aunor!
The judges for this bout are John Kavanagh, David Schapiro and Eddie Farnsworth.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Aunor moves into range and clinches up with Severino.

Aunor has picked Severino up - he's going for a ride! Aunor dumps his opponent to the mat with a thud and settles into half guard.
We could do with one of the fighters taking the initiative a bit more on the ground - they're both waiting to capitalize on a mistake.
The referee is pacing around the two fighters - he looks like he's thinking about a standup.

Severino is looking to sinch up a guillotine here but Aunor pulls his head out easily.
Aunor trying to mount his opponent but Severino defends it.
Aunor really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Severino. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.

Aunor seems to be working for a kimura but Severino defends the submission attempt.

Aunor seems very keen to just sit and control from half guard but Severino does not like that idea so much and is remaining active off his back.

That was a close round but I would say that Noel Severino will probably get the nod.

Severino is trying to push Aunor away but Aunor has him pressed against the cage, so he's going nowhere.

The fight stays on the outside here - Severino looks like he's thinking about clinching though.

Terry Aunor seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

Aunor fakes with an overhand right and moves in to clinch with Severino, pushing him back against the cage.
A frustrated look appears on Severino's face as he tries to break the clinch.
Aunor lands a nice looking hook to the body, against the cage.
Aunor blocks a punch to the side of the head.

Severino really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape.

Aunor breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat.

Aunor looking to score a takedown here. Severino is defending well but Aunor drives through and ends up in Severino's guard.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!

Terry Aunor showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.

Severino drops back, looking for a kneebar! Aunor looks panicked! The fighters roll across the mat, one looking to finish, one looking to escape. Aunor looks to have wriggled free... Yes, he's got his leg free and he's dived into side control! Good work there from Aunor!

Aunor tries to stand but Severino is controlling his head.
Severino is sneaking out the side here. He's bucked Aunor off and has taken his back!
Aunor has hold of Severino's arm. He needs to escape this position sooner or later but for now he's happy enough to control the position and prevent the submission attempts.

Severino is remaining active here, looking for the choke. The more discerning members of the crowd will appreciate his efforts.

We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Aunor can do anything to dispel that myth.
If this pace continues, the referee will definitely step in and force a standup.

The ref calls for a clean break and stands the fighters back up. Terry Aunor wasn't active enough on the ground.

I would just about give that final round to Terry Aunor.
I think Aunor has won this one but let's see whether the judges agree with me. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
