Coming up we have a super heavyweight MMA rules bout between Matt Westworth (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Christian Ramsay (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Matt Westworth has a significant reach advantage - let's see if he can make it count.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the super heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 10 - 6 - 0, fighting out of London, Matt Westworth!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 4 - 1 - 0, fighting out of London, Christian Ramsay!
The judges for this bout are Colin Fotheringham, Sam Margolis and Andrew Berry.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Ramsay takes a swing at Westworth's ribcage but misses.
Ramsay fails with a rather predictable takedown attempt.
We can't be sure of the tactics at this early stage but we have heard that Ramsay has been working on his takedowns a lot in the buildup to the fight and we can only assume he's going to look to take this to the mat.
Ramsay gets cracked with a nice right hand there by Westworth.
Ramsay ducks down and throws a hook to the body but Westworth moves away.
Westworth bobs and weaves and throws out a fast jab that snaps Ramsay's head backwards.
Ramsay closes this distance looking for a takedown but Westworth circles away.
Ramsay misses with a wild body shot.
No luck for Ramsay with that takedown attempt.
Matt Westworth has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Christian Ramsay.

Westworth throws a hard body shot but it just misses.
Ramsay fails miserably with a takedown attempt.
Westworth dodges the punch combination from Ramsay.

Westworth stuffs a takedown. It's all about dictating where the fight takes place and Westworth wants it to stay on the feet.
A telegraphed takedown attempt from Ramsay is defended easily by Westworth.

Ramsay shoots in for a takedown - he's clinched up with Westworth but Westworth pushes him off and we're back to square one.
Westworth fakes and then throws a beautiful body shot. Ramsay looks a bit winded and takes a step backwards to take a breath.
Ramsay will have to do better than that with his takedown attempts.
Ramsay uses good footwork to avoid the strikes from Westworth.
Ramsay fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Westworth manages to avoid it.
Westworth clobbers Ramsay with an overhand right that has the crowd gasping. That made a horrendous noise.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
Westworth throws a series of punches but Ramsay moves out of range.
Westworth throws a good cross that connects.
Westworth is using his height advantage well here, landing a good percentage of his punches.
Ramsay fails with a takedown attempt from distance.
Westworth has been working on his boxing with his coaches at Rift Fighting Academy in the buildup to the fight.

Ramsay tries to score a power double leg takedown but Westworth sees that one coming and sprawls well. That will dishearten Ramsay somewhat.

Ramsay's hands are dropping dangerously low here and Westworth connects clean with a right hook that sends him down to one knee! Ramsay scrambles back to his feet.

Ramsay closes the distance and looks for a trip takedown... aaaand he's got it - Ramsay lands in his opponent's guard.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Ramsay wants to control from the top but Westworth keeps moving.

Ramsay drops back for a leg but he's not going to get it - he lets go and Westworth dives on top into guard.

Westworth has to be careful here, sitting in the guard of a superior BJJ player.

Ramsay escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Westworth gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance.
A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Westworth accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand.

Ramsay is looking for a guillotine. You can't force these things though and Westworth defends well.
The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action!

That's the end of the round. The referee orders the cornermen out of the cage so we can get back down to business.


Westworth throws a right and a left that Ramsay avoids nicely.

Ramsay avoids a punch combination nicely.
Ramsay shoots for a takedown but Westworth saw that one coming a mile off and avoided it easily.

Ramsay is the aggressor but that punch slipped nicely by Westworth.

Ramsay misses with a body shot. Nice footwork from Westworth.
Ramsay rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but Westworth moves out of range and avoids them all easily.
Christian Ramsay is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things.
Westworth lunges in with an uppercut that skims his opponent's chin.
Westworth throws a hard body shot but it just misses.
Westworth moves out of range of the strikes.
Westworth lands with a straight right. Ramsay didn't see that one coming.
Westworth avoids a punch combination nicely.

Ramsay shoots in looking for a single leg takedown. Westworth is trying to defend but Ramsay finishes it well and ends up in half guard. Let's see if he can advance position further.

Ramsay wants to take a breather but Westworth is having none of it.

Ramsay is trying for a guillotine from the top but the pressure isn't in the right place so Westworth is just riding it out for now. Ramsay eventually gives up the hold.

Westworth is looking to work his way out of this bad position but Ramsay is controlling him well.

Ramsay is trying to get an arm triangle but Westworth is defending well.
Christian Ramsay has got the better of the ground game so far.

Ramsay fails to land a wild elbow strike.

Ramsay is looking for a kimura. He might have it! No, Westworth has escaped the position, nice work there.
Westworth can't do much from the bottom here.
Westworth is not content to let Ramsay control the position.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.
Ramsay is working Westworth over with some ground and pound from side control.

Christian Ramsay showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.

Ramsay fakes a strike and closes the distance, dragging Westworth to the ground. Ramsay is now in Westworth's guard.
Ramsay is pushing down on Westworth's leg trying to pass to half guard. Westworth is fighting to maintain full guard but Ramsay has managed to sneak the leg through.
Ramsay wants to pass to mount but Westworth is defending the position.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Ramsay is pressing down on Westworth's thigh, looking to free his foot. Westworth is holding on for now.
Ramsay winds up and cracks Westworth with a swinging punch to the side of the head.
Ramsay wants to lay and pray for a moment but Westworth keeps working.

Westworth scores with a sloppy right hand. Ramsay should have avoided that one.

Ramsay misses with a takedown attempt. He shot from a bit too far out.

Ramsay just misses with a punch to the body.
Ramsay throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Westworth's waist but Westworth gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Ramsay off to one side.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

Ramsay looks shocked there as he takes a right hand to the temple.
Ramsay steps to the side to avoid the strikes from Westworth.
Ramsay moves forwards but Westworth connects with a nice, crisp jab.
Ramsay tries to drive through with a takedown attempt but Westworth defends well and Ramsay ends up having to push Westworth into the cage where they will battle it out in the clinch.

Westworth's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does.
Ramsay throws a body punch but Westworth moves out of range.
Ramsay throws an uppercut from half a mile away. Westworth sees it coming and avoids it easily.
Ramsay shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has Westworth pinned against the cage. Westworth gets the underhooks and manages to circle away.

That's four minutes gone in the round.
Ramsay missing with a left hand there. Westworth was out of range so wasted energy throwing that one.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
Westworth leaves Ramsay with his face pressed against the mat as he sprawls beautifully, defending against a solid takedown attempt.
Westworth tries to score with a leg kick but it misses it's target.
Ramsay shoots in but no luck this time.
Danga de danga de dang - Westworth scores with a four punch combination!
Ramsay doesn't react quick enough there as he takes a shot to the body.
Ramsay closes this distance looking for a takedown but Westworth circles away.
Good exchange - Westworth coming out on top.
Westworth throws a head kick that connects with a bit of head and a bit of hand.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.
Ramsay throws a predictable looking body shot
and Ramsay takes a counter punch right on the button for his troubles.
Ramsay takes a solid shot to the body. That one hurt him but he's trying not to show it.
Ramsay takes a shot right to the liver - Bas would have been proud of that punch.

And that's the end of the fight!
Matt Westworth showed his dominance in that final round.
I think Westworth has won this one but let's see what the judges have to say. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
